Christmas Day + Boxing Day and More?

Yesterday I had a good Christmas spent with my family! Most of us dressed up in red, and we took a lot of pictures. Had two of our dogs in the house too :) We had hotpot for dinner and I accidentally took out a piece of salmon too early... bit into it and wondered why it was kind of tasteless, swallowed a few bits and then I took a peek at the inside and it was still raw. So I stopped eating that piece... I mean, I could've put it back into the pot but everyone was eating from that pot so... no, that wouldn't have been polite to do. Later we opened up presents and had some pandan-flavoured Christmas cake. For Christmas I got a DOMO calendar, cute bear ear cover thing, a glass tea tumblr, satsuma stuff from The Body Shop, Carbon MAC Eyeshadow, a new winter coat, tea, and some clothes. Pretty awesome!

Today's Boxing Day and I have never gone out on Boxing Day except for last year... so I stayed home today and slept in until 3pm. Haha. I was supposed to clean today but now that it's dark and gloomy I feel so unmotivated to do any cleaning... I really do need to wash my bedsheets though, but I always feel like it's a really big task, even though it isn't. I think it's just me hating the sight of my bed looking 'naked' without the sheets... I also really need to tidy up my desk and floor. I guess I could just clean my desk today and MAYBE wash my sheets (I really should...) and that will be a good amount of cleaning for today. I can clean the floor tomorrow. I ended up cancelling one of my plans for this week. Realized I shouldn't be spending money on dinners all the time... I spent about $80 going out with friends last week, so I think I should save the money for other stuff/wait until my next paycheque. >< 

Gah it's so dark out.... and my wallpaper is black so I feel so gloomy and lazy. 

Christmas Eve

I painted my nails yesterday and this is the result. Silly striper brush for the white bottle was kind of feathering out at the bottom, so I couldn't make nice skinny lines. But the black one was great! I messed up on the argyle nails because I drew the x's wrong... oh well. As for the other hand, the snowflakes didn't turn out well because of the striper/I'm not very good at drawing apparently... hehe oh well these were fun to do but took an hour. I will just refer to them as my practice experimental nails. :P

Today I went shopping with my friend, and I literally ran around The Bay so many times trying to find clothes that would add up to $100, since I had coupons to use. I managed to get a gift for my brother with it as well, so that went pretty well. Also barely managed to get into HMV at closing time. I walked in as the girl was closing the gates, and she saw me and said they were closing, but I pulled a weird puppy dog face and she asked me what I was looking for, I told her right away and she directed us. I grabbed the item and paid for it right away. So happy they let me in last minute!! :) I know people probably hate that the most when customers come in right during closing. However this was Christmas Eve, and the hours are shorter for the mall... so I think it's a pretty good exception. Next time, I shall complete my shopping ahead of time.

I got home and took a nice little nap, woke up and then started wrapping some presents. Also went on Skype for a bit to talk with my bf and my friend and ate a little dinner... at midnight. XD I should probably go to sleep now but I'm not tired at all!

I've got more plans after Christmas with friends, which is really awesome. However, I definitely need to work more hours next month at work to make-up for all that I've spent this holiday season on outings, dinners, and gifts. I think I've spent over $200 already... that's a lot of money for me to spend. >< But at least there's a lot more projects for me to work on after the break at work, I've got one show to finish, and another show to start on, as well as some other media to caption as well, so yay, busy month of work!!

Next two days I will just chill at home. Boxing Day is too crazy. I went last year with my friend and it was pretty crowded... but not as crazy as I thought, but that's only because I stayed in one store and went much later in the day! XD And well, don't really want to buy anything after having spent so much... I also prefer shopping online anyway. And there is Boxing Week for a reason. :)

Christmas is today! So Merry Christmas to all that celebrate it, and Happy Holidays to everyone else! I'm going to sleep in until 3pm or later. My family doesn't celebrate Christmas festivities until dinner time, since we usually have our cousins and extended family over to celebrate, and everyone loves to sleep in. Plus, need to have time to prepare the hotpot, and keep our stomachs empty to consume a lot! (Which is bad to do, but I think once in a while it's okay.)
