I didn't have a chance to blog last weekend, so much was going on! There were a few holiday parties which were pretty exciting (CEO's mansion, meeting up with my coworkers, going karaoke and holding our own party).
Also ate a lot of chocolate this week.
Dec 24 - Had Shawarma for our Christmas Eve dinner. It was really good!! Also played some Smash Bros Ultimate as we were able to get a deal from Best Buy ($30 off online or a gift card in-store) - Also spent the evening trying to choose a Christmas movie to watch fully haha
Dec 25 - Spent Christmas morning opening our gifts for each other, and finishing up the Christmas Chronicles movie. Had a bagel sandwich for lunch and then had Christmas dinner with my family. It was good, lots of fried chicken/shrimp with sugar cane, soup and a lot more stuff!
Dec 26 - Spent most of the day at home doing some work and hanging out. Went to Cross Iron for an hour and then went home.
Dec 27 - I volunteered for a fundraiser. Had my favourite fried rice for dinner from Noodle World. So good, and a jackfruit shake!
Dec 28 - I went to try this new noodle place in town with my friend. It was so delicious and they even had free second servings of noodles available! Definitely want to go there again. It was a bit pricey, but the bonus noodles and the size of the bowl really is worth it! After meeting with my friend, I went to the mall to go do some errands and looked through a of stores and makeup wipes! Haha.
Dec 29 - Went to Cross Iron again to grab a microfibre towel that was on sale for $10 and got a spray bottle. Checked out some deals and also got some sugar cane juice... it was nice to be reunited with a drink I would have like everyday when I was little and visiting my cousins! Did some more work later as well and video editing.
Today we went to Best Buy and McDonald's and then cleaned the house and did some chores. I'm just waiting for my pizza to finish reheating for dinner and then I'm going to do some editing and some journaling. Will also watch a few youtube videos too!
Not sure what we're doing for NYE... hmm!

R & R
This weekend was quite productive and a ton of fun!
Thursday - I had the day off so I went to run some errands downtown and eat lunch with a friend at Point Sushi. Played the new Super Smash Bros Ultimate game with a friend and the boif too.
Friday - I decided to stay in most of the day and just relax. I ordered some food from Taste of Korea - spicy tofu stew and some fried chicken with sides. Also got a Lemon Ade drink (fizzy lemon drink with lemon pieces) and it was really tasty! Watched a bunch of vlogmas videos and did some video editing (I think?).
Saturday - Went to the boif's work holiday party. It was really cool, a smaller group of people but some good conversations and we got to watch an improv group. The party was at the founder's house, which was so amazing and big. It didn't even feel like we were at someone's house, I felt like we were at a hotel! I dolled up and wore my favourite velvet dress. :) I'm now pondering about what to wear for the other holiday parties we'll be attending!
Today we slept in for a bit. We went to Espresso Cafe to have some cajun chicken sandwiches. They were only $9.95 for happy hour and they were delicious! We also had an iced chai and a turmeric chai latte. Afterwards, we went to peek on the kitties at Regal Cat Cafe, and then went home. I was so sleepy so I took a nap for about an hour after trying to watch some youtube videos. Went to the famjam's for dinner and to play with Tofu, and now I'm just editing my vlogs for vlogmas. I'm also having some Christmas Eve Stash Tea. Also posted an IG post!
It's going to be quite the busy week! Lots of video editing to be done, prepping for the holidays/parties, going out with friends, and appointments galore!

I missed a weekend of blogging!
Whoops! I missed a weekend of blogging.
Last weekend we went to Original Joe's for dinner and we also went to the mall to get the boif a new phone and so that I could get a hot water bottle.
This weekend:
Friday - Went to greta and craft. I had poke for dinner using my credit from DoorDash, which was really nice. I decided to try a spinach base (Hawaiian style) instead of a rice base. Felt healthier, but it was still quite a meal!
Saturday - Went to the holiday expo and I got a moonstick necklace for only $10! The boif got a Legend of Zelda music box, which we almost thought was a Game of Thrones music box, because the notes that played at the beginning of the first few cranks was very similar to it's theme song. We went to the famjam's for dinner and played with Tofu for a bit, and then just had a chill evening working/relaxing. I started watching The Princess Switch, not really sure I'm into the movie that much, I also watched a few YouTube videos.
Today we had leftover pizza for dinner and went to see Bohemian Rhapsody. It was a great movie. We're just chilling at home for the evening. I'm going to do some journaling and then maybe game or watch some YouTube.
It's been snowing more and getting colder outside, which is making me actually want to stay indoors more. With that, I need to keep myself busy, so I'm doing vlogmas again and so I'll be editing lots.
I also still need to work on my website, it's really bad right now. I'll go do that and make sure to work on my creativity this week! I just need to start doing things, and then I become super passionate at it.

More of myself again
The beginning of this week marks the time I decided to go see a naturopath.
On Monday I was feeling pretty weird. I was very sore and in a lot of discomfort and I was a bit anxious. I wanted to go see my doctor but everytime I called them, I couldn't get through. I Googled medical offices around me and there weren't a lot of good reviews for the closest one, so I decided to try a naturopath clinic.
I'm really happy I did. I got IV therarpy and some supplements and the day of I felt on and off, but the next few days were amazing. I'm a bit mellow now but I still feel pretty good. I also have a new meal plan and sleep/wake up plan that I am trying to implement as much as possible, along with exercise. I actually haven't used the light therapy box yet but I think I might use it soon just to get more light.
Friday - I got acupuncture for the first time. I had thought my benefits covered it but it was actually my HSA... oops. I don't have anything left in it, so I paid for it out of pocket and I think I'll wait a week or so to book another appointment because it is almost a $100. I felt pretty sore after the treatment, but it does take a few appointments to feel better from it. I still don't really like the sensation of the needles, even though they are thin and I can't feel them after a few seconds. T_T But I'm glad I tried it, it made me feel a tiny bit better afterwards. We had Subway for dinner and watched some Sabrina and relaxed.
Saturday - We went to New Horizon Mall for a little bit to check out what's inside. A lot of spaces still for lease, but there were a few stores open as well. I think it'll be really cool if a Daiso opens up there or even a grocery store. We also went to Cross Iron Mills to buy a gift for our friends' baby's 1st birthday. Us and a group of friends got her a drum set with piano and a xylophone. We also went to Costco to grab some groceries and then went to the famjam's for dinner and played with Tofu. Afterwards, we watched some Netflix.
Today we went to the baby's birthday brunch and then went to see Grindewald. Interesting party and also interesting film. The baby was quite intrigued by her new toys! I also got a foam roller to help me massage my body and stretch. We went to Blaze Pizza to pick up dinner and then continued the movie we were watching on Netflix and started another one. Just having some tea right now and I'm going to go plan what I'm going to do tomorrow.
Definitely need to go to the gym and exercise a bit more after all the carbs and stuff I had this week. Totally had a cheat meal weekend... lol. I need to go back to my plan.

Lethargy D:
So this week was quite the week. I felt lethargic almost the entire week but felt much better on Friday and on Saturday. Today I was ok but felt lethargy and really hot. I decided to do something about it, though!
I was pretty good about trying to walk outside almost everyday after work. It helped a bit with the winter blues when I increased my exposure to daylight/fluorescent lighting on my digital devices and when I went into stores. I think I might be feeling this way also because I was just sick the week before, so my body is feeling strange and confused.
Weekend recap:
Friday - Went to the famjam's for dinner and played with Tofu for a bit. Cutie pie kept licking my fingers lol after I washed my hands. Went back home for a bit to wind down and then also went to The Rec Room for some fun and games! We have over 1000 points now, but still saving up since we didn't know what we wanted to redeem as a prize. There were a few things that also didn't cost many points, like small writing tools, etc... but ah not too sure about getting those! We then went home and relaxed after.
Saturday - I refreshed my purple locks and I decided to dedicate this day to having some hitori time with some shopping during the Sephora VIB sale in the mall. I got quite a few things to restock on like eyeliner and concealer, and then I also bought some perfume that has the Clean at Sephora seal on it (no harsh chemicals, etc.) so that it's as natural as possible and doesn't irritate me. I also got a silicon face mask applicator... looks pretty handy to apply face masks and also remove them with the brush head (it's a dual brush). Afterward, I met up with my friend from Bumble and we had dinner at Seed and Salt to catch up and just chat about what's going on in our lives. It was a good chat and afterward my friend dropped me off at the grocery store so I could pick up some Vitamin D. Afterwards, I went home and we had friends over, so hung out with them for a bit and then we headed to Sole for some good ol' karaoke. It was fun!
Today we slept in for a bit longer since we were pretty exhausted. Watched some Insatiable on Netflix for a bit as I was really looking forward to watching something light-hearted. We then went to Jinya Ramen for a late lunch and then got some latte at Espresso Cafe. It was really nice getting some daylight this weekend. I then started getting the winter blues again after we went home and I felt super sleepy so I took a nap for a few hours and then went outside for a walk. During my walk I reflected on my week and how I felt, and what I was grateful for and my game plan to get out of this rut. I decided to go to the gym afterwards and that made me feel a bit better and then I did some meal prep and made a salad and ate oranges/icecream/had tea. I also wrote in my journal and now this blog, and planned out my week. I'm going to try light therapy and continue taking my vitamins. I also realized that I really, really need to go outside during the day and so I'm going to try to wake up earlier each day so I can go do that and get some fresh air. I'm going to try sneaking in some gym time too in the mornings. I feel weird after work sometimes to do stuff, the beginning of my week is usually focused on meeting deadlines for video editing after work, so I already feel like the night is shorter and get the winter blues. I am hoping that by changing up my daylight exposure that it wil really help me feel better and not get the winter blues anymore.
I know that this didn't happen in previous years, because I had always had a chance to go outside during the daylight through a lunch break, or running errands during the day for work. Since working remotely, I haven't done that since the evenings started becoming longer. I can't imagine how other people who don't really get to see the sun for the majority of day would feel. I just know that right now it feels terrible and so after a week of it, I have enough energy to do something about it.
Last week was also focused on getting as much sleep as possible, because I thought that's what was messing me up... so trying to get up earlier will be a bit of a challenge, but I'm up for it! :)

Ewwww
So I have been sick for about a week. That cold I was feeling came on full force last Thursday. Awful!
Couldn't do shit. Also trained for my new job. I was very surprised that I made it through a week. I don't know if I retained anything, but I did it!
Last weekend I didn't really do anything except for lay in bed for most of it. And take meds and try to get better.
I still have a cough right now, but I did do some stuff as soon as this weekend rolled around!
Friday - We got a Blaze Pizza to share. It was the first day I had been outside, other than to go to the famjam's. Felt good. I didn't feel insanely cold when we went outside. Watched a ton of Netflix.
Saturday - Went for a walk around the neighborhood, looked at some natural meds and also got a baba gannouj sandwich from the Mediterranean place down the street. Finally some veggies! Stayed inside after and just watched some Extra Life streams on Twitch and played some SC6.
Today we went and checked out the new library. It was really cool! There were a ton of people there since it's opening weekend. We also went to Tubby Dog and I didn't like my not-dog at all... I used to love their veggie dogs so much years ago, but it was not what I thought it was today :( Their turkey dog was pretty good though! We also checked out Societe Coffee Lounge for their shakai matcha line. Got a matcha pina smoothie, and a matcha rose latte with a matcha doughnut to share. Pretty good matcha but not that sweet at all and the rose was very strong. The pina smoothie had some pineapple chunks which I happily devoured!
Went and ran an errand at Co-Op as well and then walked around the neighborhood a little bit when we got home. The daylight savings time ending has got me all feeling weird. It feels late but it's early.
I'm going to try to get back to normal activities this week like editing my videos and vlogging and going out for a walk after work. It's so dark now though because I'm done work much later now. T_T

Confidence
Gratitude and confidence.
That's what I'm doing.
No more focusing on expectations.
Focus on the good points, support, and appreciate.
Weekend wrap-up:
Friday - Went to a friend's place and had pizza and cake for ladies night! It was great just hanging out with the girls and meeting a new friend. Also got to see my friend's dogs. I've only met one of them and then got to meet the other! The girl dog was so shy, she kept running away or tried to hide whenever I got closer to her.
Saturday - Had my first Thanksgiving dinner with some friends at our place, and then I also went to K One Karaoke with some old and new friends. Fun night in and out! Played the new Mario Party on the Switch as well, so fun.
Sunday - We slept in for a bit longer than usual and then went to Monki Bistro for brunch and an early birthday fondue! I'm literally in a food coma right now. Not the best feeling lol but thank goodness for mugicha!
The rest of the night was spent in the ER -_-. While we were walking to the gym, I suddenly felt my left tricep go tense and it felt like my arm was getting its blood pressure taken. It felt like a squeezing pain. I started to get weird pain randomly around my body as well. I panicked a bit on and off, and then decided to call Health Link to figure out what to do. They told me to go to the ER so we went and we were there for 5 hours T_T. I took an ECG and blood test and everything was good. The doctor told me it was the anxiety and that the pain was probably psychological. They told me that I was 100% okay and that I should go see my family doctor in a week to get my anxiety checked out.
They also told me that my iron was not low at all. So interesting to get a second opinion!
Today I am feeling much better and went out to go get some chamomile & lavender tea as well as some aromatherapy to help with my anxiety. I'm also trying to keep myself busy too.

Fall cold
So my allergies followed me home when I got back I came back with a head cold. Took some time off work to rest up.
I'm feeling better but I still have a cough. My nose is clearing up which is good!
I took some time this weekend to rest and also attend a wedding for one of my very good friends. Did a bit of catching up with some other friends as well.
It's starting to get colder.
CAMP starts tomorrow. I'm pretty excited! This year one of my goals for it is not to just learn lots, but to try to network with a few people.
Now that I work for someone that is kind of in the industry, it seems relevant now to network with the other attendees.
I just hope it'll be a bit different and that there will be more open opportunities to network inbetween sessions. :)

Lowering my expectations
So lately I've been pretty irritable.
The slightest repetitive sounds tick me off, and since I'm a light sleeper, if I can hear everything that is going on in the evening when I'm trying to sleep, it annoys me as I can't fall asleep without getting disrupted.
I've been super cranky.
I've done pretty well not to get super frustrated and vent, but ah it's time to stop bottling it in/
I just did some reading online on how to deal with it, and one of the steps was to write it out in a journal if you can't vent it to someone else or a friend, so that's what I'm doing now.
I'm irritated because I'm in a different routine and in a different environment. I'm used to quietness and everyone sleeping at the same time and being quiet at night. I'm also not used to people talking loudly when I am working.
So what I tried to do was wear noise cancelling earphones to help and to play relaxing music. I also did some meditation.
However I haven't really been getting a lot of good sleep and that"s mostly why I'm super cranky.
My diet is also pretty bad right now. My allergies are acting up. T_T
So yeah... I need more sleep. I need to eat healthier, get back into my routine, go to the gym, and meditate.
The posts I read also said to think about how getting annoyed helps... as it doesn't at all. And to also give people the benefit of the doubt, they don't do these things to annoy you. Also showing no reaction to people who intentionally do it, would bore them and they wouldn't do it again.
It's also made me realize I really need to lower my expectations for people. Like super low.
But this concept is so had for me because there's like a few things I expect, such as people doing the chores, instead of me doing it all the time. Obviously if I don't bring it up, they might not realize that they are not doing these chores, which then if I don't react, I am stuck with getting them done on my own as this is my expectation.
So I believe some expectations must be a bit higher than low at least....

Fall is here
It's September now... whoa. Summer felt like it flew by so quickly.
A quick summary of my Summer would be there it was full of work and catching up with friends. A lot of food outings too...
It was also the point of the year where I went through more with my IG and YouTube. I will continue this into the Fall. :)
Sunday - After Street Eatery, I went and ordered a pizza and some bread sticks... I could only finish the pizza. All good though, it was delicious. I tried to eat some of the breadsticks but they were not that great at all.
Monday - Spent the day traveling and then just relaxed in BC with the famjam.
Tuesday - Relaxed some more and then went to 88 buffet with the famjam. I was so sleepy after that.
Friday - Just watched a lot of YouTube and some Meteor Garden.
Saturday - I slept in for quite a bit, went to the mall with the famjam and got a few t-shirts, also went to Denny's for dinner. Watched some Meteor Garden and then went to Wal-Mart for some groceries and now I'm just relaxing until I have to sleep.
Sunday - I had to work today and barely got any sleep! So much was going on last night. I feel pretty cranky today from the lack of sleep. I'm going to watch some YouTube and do some video editing tonight and then get some sleep.
Update, I took a nap... I feel refreshed and just finished editing.

Squeezing the last bit of summer
This week has been quite the crazy week and was filled with catching up with a lot of friends, making new ones and just relaxing since I've had a pretty exhausting week!
Tuesday - Hung out with a friend at Blue Star Diner for dinner. We hadn't seen each other in over 10 years, so it was about time we caught up. It was nice catching up and we're going to try to hangout with each other more.
Wednesday - I attended a leadership workship with a friend. It was really interesting... it made us talk about what is holding us back from doing what we want to do, what it is we want to do, and what we need to do to get there. Loved the perspective change on it. Also went out for a second dinner and had Wakado Ramen. Not my favouite kind of noodles, but the chicken broth was quite interesting!
Thursday - I just made time for myself. I went to the gym for a bit and just relaxed... finished up dramas... etc. It was a very relaxing even after work!
Friday - Went to Coco bbt with a friend and met her friends. Walked around the neighborhood before that and I bought some cheese to eat :D
Saturday - Meant to try the special menu at Vero Bistro, but it turns out they didn't tell us during our reservation that they wouldn't honor it on weekends. So my friends and I went to Poke instead, had Starbucks and then walked around the toy store and Kensington. It was fun. Found a dinosaur plushie that's just about my height... and I found some heart-shaped mood rings, that I kind of wanted to buy... haha. They're so pretty and colourful! Went to the Moonlight Market with a friend and tried a bubble waffle with oreo. Wish it was filled like the ones at Bubble Queen. Ah well, it was tasty anyway. Bumped into some friends as well. I tried to go to the bank before going home, but it was closed... bought some blueberries and ate them at home. Then went for dinner and karaoke at Sole, met some new friends and had a good time. I wish they had more newer songs though!! They didn't have a lot of songs in the book, but I think if you tried typing them on the remote, it would be okay.
Today I went out for lunch at The Street Eatery with some friends, then walked around the park with them and then sat down and just chilled... also played some Pokemon Go. Now I am just waiting for my pizza and cheesy bread to get here for dinner. Yup, this week was expensive but it was definitely time for me to treat myself. I'm going to hermit and save now... :)
I need to clean the house a bit today, do laundry and get things ready for work and stuff after vacation. But first, going to chill and then do that stuff. I did a lot of stuff at the beginning of the week, so I don't have too much I need to do.
It'll probably be a bit of a late night as well. I need to finish editing today.

Taking action
Another day of self-reflection... I remember how last year I said I would work on building my portfolio as much as possible. I really haven't done that and it's eating me up. T_T
Today I self-reflected and this is what I have been thinking:
- my new goal is to be a part-time freelancer and a part-time content creator
- I need to build my content and audience for the content creation side
- I'm going to do more affiliate marketing to make some income on the side
- I'm going to try some other freelance sites to get freelance remote gigs for video editing
- I think video editing is my high income skill, so I'm going to build on that
- I'm going to watch more tutorial videos for video editing and try them out so I can educate myself more (I feel like my knowledge is slipping)
- I might take on a volunteer project again (going to be more selective on this, though)
- I am going to keep thinking and working towards these goals, so that I can be positive
Also I need to revamp my portfolio site and my blog site, like big time. There is no distinct branding.
My goal is to achieve this within the next 2 months. Yup, it's an audacious goal, I know, but that's what makes it even more fulfilling.

Balance
This week the air was quite smoky outside, so not a lot of opportuities to go outside for long periods of time.
Everytime I went outside and then back into a building, my nose would start to get irritated. Yup, the smoke is pretty rough right now. :/ I tried to get out as much as I could this weekend, but I really believe it's just best to stay indoors until the air is back to normal.
Thursday - We went to Bookers BBQ for dinner. We got two sides each, a shrimp po-boy sandwich and a brisket sandwich. Ahh, so good, we were so stuffed.
Friday - We went to the gym! Surprisingly I didn't get sore from it, but I was sore from before, so I took it pretty easy. We then watched the Crazy Rich Asians movie. Love the cinematography and mise-en-scene. It was nice to put a face to all the characters from the book. I want to read the book in full now that I can match faces to the names. There's quite a bit! I also tried a pineapple sparkling water drink from the vending machine. It was good, but pricey D:. $2 more than what I would've paid from a regular store, but hey, that's how the theatre makes their money.
Saturday - Did some errand running and ordered Kitsune soba for dinner from Sushi Bar Zipang. It was really good, just what I needed after walking to the grocery store in the smoke. T_T
Sunday - Woke up early today and went to Espresso Cafe to celebrate birthdays. We had the brunch buffet and it was sooo good. I definitely want to go back again. It was really good to catch up with the gal pals, and I also bought a top from Simons after going into Winners and I couldn't find a laptop sleeve... but I did get a lemon essential oil. I also went through Inglewood as well to look around, got a pineapple dole whip and walked home. It was a good walk, I am still full from today's brunch though, so I'm having some tea to help me digest and feel less bloated. I hope I can fit some dinner in before bed. It's around dinner time right now and so I'm just going to finish this post and then do some video editing and plan out my week.
The tea is really helping! Yesss.
This week has been pretty balanced. I am pretty exhausted but I am starting to get motivated again to follow my passions. :D

I went to the gym!
I haven't been feeling my best this week, but slowly lifting my mindset back to where it should be.
Friday - Went for dinner at the famjam's and then took Tofu to the park and chilled with him at home. We were thinking of taking him to watch the boif do disc golf practice, but it would be for a couple of hours and it might be too hot outside for the pupper and also too smoky for me, so I just took him to the park nearby. It was nice having some company at home and Tofu was just so cute the whole time. We went to go see Christopher Robin after. I didn't really enjoy it as much as I thought I would, but it was pretty nostalgic and I resonated with Piglet so much. I also really lovd Eeyore hahah he was just super blunt and it was awesome. Tried a frozen yogurt smooth at the froyo place in the theatre as I wanted a drink that wouldn't break the bank. It was pretty good, as it had pineapple juice in it!
Saturday - Slept into the afternoon and watched some more Good Morning Call (it's getting pretty intense, the characters are developing soooo much!) and then headed to the gym for about an hour. I started using Bumble again this week so I caught up on some conversations I had with some matches today as well. Went to the mall for a bit and didn't expect to buy anything as the bae wanted to get some socks, but when we went into The Gap, I immediately was drawn to a blue maxi dress that was on sale... and then found some denim shorts and jeans that were on sale... I couldn't resist, they were such good deals as the items there are usually over $40 - $120!! I got three items for a total of $62 :) We then went to Julio's Barrios for dinner with another couple of friends and it was really great. I had the chimichanga which imho is super filling and so worth the price. Also tried a virgin pina colada. It was decent, don't think I would get it again. It was really nice to catch up and get to know my friend's SO, since they're getting married soon and we never really got to know the two of them together.
Today I met up with a Bumble BFF friend. It was my first time meeting someone from the app. We had a really good conversation for about two hours! We had a lot of similar interests and we're planning on hanging out again. Went to mari bakeshop to meet up and I had some rose tea and a passionfruit choux, both were pretty delicious! I ran an errand after and then just went home. We had sausages and salad for dinner and watched a lot of Terrace House: Aloha State. Went for a small walk after taking the recycling out, and then I folded the laundry. I'm pretty sore from yesterday so I think I'm just going to chill for the rest of the night.
Tomorrow I'm going to do some video editing and then planning my week. Going to start taking my side hustle stuff more seriously now. Need paid gigs and need to build my portfolio.

Back to normal
Friday - We went to my family's for dinner and had some fried chicken and noodles, played with Tofu for a bit and also went to Hexagon Cafe & Sentry Box to see if they had a game called Fog of Love. Unfortunately not available for purchase, but Hexagon Cafe did have it available for play... the place was paaaacked on a Friday night, so we didn't play it. Next time! We then went to Costco and got some Halo Top icecream in Pancakes & Waffles. Then watched some Terrace House and went to Elite Brewing with a friend and their friend. Their ciders are really good!
Saturday - We watched some more Terrace House and had more fried chicken, soup and also avocado toast. We went to Inglewood Sunfest where I got a free sample skincare bag (both big and small samples, yes!! When I opened them, I thought they'd make an excellent travel kit. We also got some free cold brew coffee from the Kicking Horse booth. Went to Costco after to pick up some items and then also went to Superstore to pick up some more groceries (mainly chips and cheese). I bought a hair mask and some eyeliner on Sephora, picked up some samples (BeautyBlender cleansing solid and tarte's new creaseless concealer). Also watvhed some more Good Morning Call and looked through the Ardene catalogue for some floral clothes. They have quite the selection!
Sunday - I slept in and watched more Terrace House. Went to El Furniture's Warehouse for some food that costs only $5.95 and caught up with my friend who I haven't seen in a while! It was really nice to catch up. I then went to Simon's to go search for a rain coat, there was a pink one that I liked, but it was kind of pricey, there was also a cute yellow coat that was on sale, but it had a lipstick stain on it and some marks that turned me off from it. Luckily it's available online and on sale, so I'll probably get it from the website. I then went back home and just chilled in bed for a bit while talking to friends. We had sausages with buns for dinner and then I wasn't feeling great so I went to bed earlier.
Today when I got up I still felt meh, but worked the morning and took a half day vacation. Went to the doctor's office to get a refill on a prescription and had lunch. Did some other stuff and then napped for a few hours because I wasn't feeling great.
I really need to go work out again... I didn't get outside everyday like I wanted to last week because we had a lot of storms so it was too wet to go outside. I did do a lot this weekend to hang out with friends so that was really nice. I felt a bit overwhelmed last week though after getting into another routine. I'm going to try going to the gym a few times this week, though!!

Hustlin'
This week I've had a few lazy days.
On my days off I met up with some friends for lunch to catch up. Tried the bento at Goro + Gun, and the Tanuki Udon at Sushi Bar Zipang. Both meals were delicious :)
I wasn't feeling great on Thursday. Had to take a reduced workload on Friday because my voice was disappearing. Not fun! I drank a lot of tea with honey over the last few days.
On Friday we went to Koto Sushi for dinner. Tried the miso sashimi salad, unagi roll, a roll with mango, salmon and cream cheese, a prawn roll, and a bc salmon roll plus some inari sushi. Yum! The unagi roll wasn't my favourite, but I liked the prawn roll a lot. I spent a bit of time trying to figure out where I wanted to work next Tuesday. They're doing a water shut off for some repairs, and I'm someone who washes my hands quite frequently because I go to the bathroom often. I can either fill up some tupperware/buckets with water and just use that, or I could go somewhere else to work for a chance of scenery. The latter is probably easier, so I've been looking at options.
My options are:
a) stay home and just go use the bathroom in the other building - this is okay, but it does take some time to walk between each building, this is also the laziest method for me, and probably a 4 level of comfort
b) go to a co-working space - I've got my eye set on one, and I've spoken with two, but then it's kind of weird because I asked if I could go there for free because I'm just there for a few hours/a day - I can then go to a coffee shop after or check out some places for lunch, this is a method that would require me to wake up earlier than I usually do so that I can walk to the co-working space without spending extra for transit, or just take transit there
c) work at a friend's house - I spoke with a friend but I feel weird as I don't really know them that well and I've never been to their place before
d) do a) and then also go to a coffee shop for the last half of my shift - will probably end up doing this because it's the least amount of effort, and I could use the bathroom whenever, but I would probably have to pack up my laptop with me and take it with me
so yeah... I think going with option a) the whole time would probably be the best idea if I want to be super lazy. option b) would be nice because then I would have a change of environment, so I'm seriously considering it. and option d) would take more effort too but it would be a change of environment.
I haven't 100% decided yet, but it's good to know I have several options.
On Saturday we watched some Cells at Work and then I went for a stroll outside. We also went to watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. After the movie I was sooo tired. Also started up a shopping bag full of Colourpop lippies as they were doing a 40% off liquid lipstick sale for National Lipstick Day.
Today we went to Tokyo Street Market again, with some friends and then also went to Made by Marcus. I was started to feel really weird and we went to Pet-a-Palooza and then went to True World Foods to grab some snacks and gum. I think I was getting dehydrated as I was feeling some stinging pain. I got some cold green tea and drank it and felt better after we got home and I laid on the bed for a bit. I probably spent about two hours trying to figure out what else I could get at CP to make our bag qualify for free shipping. It was tough but I realized that I had been wanting an orange blush for a while and that I did want to try some nude/pink liquid lipsticks, so I got some of those. Now to wait for them to come in the mail!
We then went to Cafe 16 for some bingsoo. We got the milk tea one and it was really good! I've never really had bingsoo before so I'm glad my first one was really good. It came with condensed milk, which always makes things taste great.
I also did some research this week on freelance video editing and other side hustles that I could do to have multiple revenue streams. I feel like I need to space out the time that I work on these projects and researching a bit more, as I feel a little burnt out each time.
I want stuff where I'm doing things I love, and at a casual pace. I'm going to apply to some freelance opportunities and keep working on my IG stuff and blog.
I also need to go to the gym. I've been saying that all the time on here but I'm just so lazy!! But I do get outside to walk around, so I'm getting exercise, just not bulking up. I need to bulk up though.

Weekend again
Saturday - We went to the mall in the evening and did another stroll of shopping. The boif got some clothes and I didn't get anything. We decided to get Korean cuisine for dinner and went to Migarock. I got some spicy cold noodles and the boif got a bibimbap. Yum!! We watched a bit of Batman vs. Superman as well.
Sunday - Checked out the new Made by Marcus location and shared a single scoop with the boif. I really liked the decor of the place, it's very farm-house/minimal like, and the ice cream was great. I'm not sure if I would try the rosemary fig again but I loved the goat cheese and the chocolate fudge brownie! We then went to Tokyo Street Market to actually try their food this time... got ramen and some chicken yakitori skewers and some pickles. It was pretty good! I also picked up my book (didn't get to on Saturday) and then finished the biography part of Michelle Phan, but I was pretty sad that there wasn't more to read. The book goes into some tips and tricks on makeup, etc. for now, which I haven't read yet, but I love learning how successful people got to where they are today. I hope she releases a new book soon that would cover this :) Watched more of our movie, still need to watch the last half hour.
Today we had dinner with the famjam, played with Tofu and checked out the new Lucky's Supermarket. It reminds me of T&T but with more Japanese/Korean items. It's super clean and spacious which I love! Didn't get too much stuff from there except some canned coffee and canned drinks plus some snacks. We're thinking of getting groceries from there eventually as they have a ton of food there. Not everything was set-up quite yet, so we'll probably go back once they've got everything ready to go. I edited and did a post on IG, helped the boif with some work stuff and now I'm just about to head to bed after typing up this post.
Tomorrow is my day off so I'll be meeting up with a friend for lunch, and then I'll probably go to the gym and do some side hustling stuff. :D

I went to the gym again
My "early" weekend started again on Wednesday evening!
Wednesday - I was super exhausted so I took a nap right after work and just had a pretty chill day at home. We did check out an event going on but it rained so much we just walked back home.
Thursday - I slept in for about an hour and cleaned the house, had breakfast and got ready to go downtown to pick up some stuff from my old workplace. Then I walked back home, got to awe the Canadian geese for a bit as they were super fluffy and too cute to pass! I then went to the gym afterward as it's been a long time. Did some squats, running/walking on the treadmill, some weight lifting and some quad extensions. Pretty sore after the workout. I then took a short nap afterward and cleaned a bit more. Played Charterstone with some friends, and also had Boogies Burgers for dinner with an oreo and cappucino milkshake. Yum! I did some research on side hustles for a bit before going to bed.
Today I decided to sleep in a bit more an woke up around noon. Found out that Uniqlo now has e-commerce on their app and mobile site (yes!), but not the desktop site. :( I did a bit of browsing but couldn't really find a lot that I wanted to purchase, so I'll hold off for now until more things are in stock. I cleaned my desk, did some laundry, had croissants for breakfast, and had Poke for a late lunch. Went for a walk and went to check out the art store for a bit and Circle K to see if they had iced coffee. They don't, but they do have a lot of options for hot coffee! I'll have to try it sometime if I'm craving hot coffee. :) Went for dinner at the famjam's, played with Tofu, and also went to the mall to browse a bit before closing. The boif got some jeans and a few shirts. We're going to go back again tomorrow to return one of them as it's too big.
It's definitely tougher for me to get used to not having weekends as days off. It throws me off my schedule quite a bit, as I'm not in sync with the people I usually spend time with on weekends. It's okay though, my next few days off are in a few days and then it'll be back to having weekends off again. :)
Tomorrow I'm going to go pick up a book I ordered from Chapters. It's actually Michelle Phan's book that she wrote a few years ago. I've been super interested in reading books by Youtubers that I follow. It's just so interesting to read into where they came from and how they came to be content creators.

It's been half a year already!
Today I realized it's been almost half a year since I made the change from working in an office to working remotely.
It's pretty amazing.
A HUGE goal of mine from years ago was to work at home, but I never really acted on it until one day I went to a digital/tech conference and was really inspired by one of the panels I went to, which covered the topic of working from home. When I saw that only two people put their hand up that they worked from home, FULL-TIME (like everyday!), I knew I had to do something.
So I took a leap and that leap was a weird one. I started working from home in January as a virtual assistant, then I realized I wasn't making enough, so I made it my goal to find a full-time position working remotely.
And I applied, interviewed, and got in. Now I've been working remotely for a while!
At first, it was like digging into a big box of candy. I was super excited to work remotely. Now that I've gotten used to it, it doesn't really feel like I'm working from home, but it does feel more like working in a really relaxed environment.
I love having no commute. I love being in charge of my music selection. I also love the flexibility. I also really like how I don't have external factors (like food) to distract me and influence me to buy things while I'm on my breaks. I can focus on my diet more easily. I also don't snack that often lol because I'm always so busy!
I tried working from home many times in the past, but it never worked out for me. But now I have more experience and a lot more focus than I did before, so it works really well.
I also save a lot of money while I work. However it is hard to resist treating myself after work... so hmm, am I really saving? I need to cut back! It's summer though, so I've been making a lot of effort to go out with friends and do stuff, so it can get costly.
It's weird not being around people, but I'm always closely communicated online with my work and other people, so it's not so bad.
I start to miss the outside world a lot now, so to alleviate that I am trying to go out for a walk outside every day! Since I was always going outside when I worked in an office, I have to continue doing that.
It's also motivated me to do more on my free time. Like hobby stuff, developing myself professionally, and tapping into all sorts of interests to keep myself entertained since I don't game much anymore...
I'll have to do another check-in at the end of the year! It's been a great experience working remotely. I miss office culture a teeeeensy bit.... though. I could do one day a week in the office, if presented with the opportunity. Haha.

Carrying heavy things is not my forte
This week was pretty chill. I tried to go for a walk almost every day after work to get outside and enjoy the good weather.
Wednesday - I was planning to meet up with a friend on Saturday, but then we decided to meet up on this night instead. Had a Pineapple Infusion drink from Starbucks and sat down with my friend to talk about blog stuff. Then walked around the neighborhood for a bit to chat and catch up more. It was really nice! I stayed up a bit later than usual because my weekend had started. Made poke for dinner. Easy peasy and healthy!
Thursday - I went to Nellie's Break The Fast Cafe with some work friends. I got the Ukranian breakfast, which consisted of boiled perogies, poached eggs, some sausage, hashbrowns and toast. It was a pretty filling meal, and shortly after I met up with a friend to have lunch and catch up. I didn't get any food for lunch since I was still full lol. I did get a free A&W root beer, though! I wanted to try their new Beyond Burger item on the menu that day, but I was already so full from breakfast. Next time! I also ran some errands and pretty much spent a 6+ hours downtown.... I bought tea from my work friend as well, and then decided to take the looooong way home. It was a really nice walk but my feet were so sore. Next time I will definitely wear more comfortable shoes (I had sandals on). We had onigiri balls for dinner with the leftover poke ingredients. Turn out our seaweed sheets are a bit old, so we'll probably have to get some new ones very soon. I was pretty tired after a long day and napped for the night.
Friday - We went to the Stampede with a friend! Watched the canine stars dog show, checked out the vendors (boif bought a clothing steamer!), watched the boif and our friend play some games. Also played the rollerball game at the WestJet booth as well. Went on the skyride too and tried out an elk stick, pizza corn dog, teriyaki poutine and a mojito lemonade! Was pretty tired around 8pm so we decided to wrap it up after the skyride. A huge gust of wind blew by and the rest of the night was filled with super strong winds. We managed to get some iced tea samples before leaving, but it was so windy that I'm pretty sure I ate some dirt in the process... lol. I went for a walk after we got home. Also made a tiny wrap as we didn't really have dinner and ate some mango.
Today - Woke up super sore. Yup, carrying a bag of two water bottles with the bag hanging down past your back is not a great idea. Also it's not a great idea to walk in uncomfortable shoes. Went to the famjam's for dinner, played with Tofu and then went to get a couple of groceries. Eating some blueberries now.

Back to weekdays off
I'm now on my 4 week rotation where I have to work on weekends again, but get two weekdays off, so my weekend shenanigans were pretty much very limited this weekend, but I made the most of them!
Friday - We went for dinner at the famjam's and played with Tofu. We then went home and the boif went to go play disc golf and I went to the gym to get my workout. Refreshed my hair colour that night as well and then we watched a bit of Finding Dory.
Saturday - In the morning we went to get some vegan pancakes, then I went to a Stampede party with my friend and networked with some people from the realty business. 'twas a crowded party and so we couldn't find a place to sit so we just left after a couple of hours and got sushi at Point Sushi. Went home and then hung out with my friend around Inglewood and went to Dandy as well as LDV for some pizza. Had a few good chats about stuff. I also got my pineapple dole whip soft service from the Inglewood Drive In place. It was amazing, and only $1.04! My legs were super sore after the night.
Today I worked and then we went to Espressocafe for some lattes and some pastries. I got a charcoal fusion latte which was really interesting! For dinner we made some wraps and now I'm just writing this post and I'm going to catch up on some YouTube and then unplug for a few hours before bed. It's part of my app that I use, so I'm going to occupy that time with some journaling, colouring and magazine reading. Just keeping it super chill.
I kind of want to go to the gym today though... hmmm.... maybe I'll go do that! (Maybe.)
The plan for this week is to focus on going to the gym, eating as healthy as possible, going for walks, and continuing my freelance ventures!

Laid back
This week has been a really bleh kind of week. I didn't feel so good for a few days, feeling sluggish and had some cramps. :/
So this weekend was a bit of a recovery one, but managed to do a few things:
Friday - Went to my family's for dinner and then went to Starbucks for their buy one get one frappucino deal that was going on for the evening. Got a matcha frappucino and a triple mocha frappucino :D
Saturday - Went to try the new bullet train sushi place in town with a friend. The sushi was decent and the fried/hot food was pretty good. It was a really cool experience and it reminded me a lot of the conveyor belt sushi places in Japan. I was super happy. We then walked around downtown for a bit, I returned an eyeliner from Sephora and got store credit, we tried to find some blotting sheets for my friend but couldn't find any good ones. Showed my friend Mari bakeshop and she got some choux and rolls, it was nice to catch up with her! We went home and I took a nap on the couch. Watched Coco with the boif after.
Sunday - We went to Dandy Brewery for some brunch and sample sizes, pretty great brunch spot. Had the bubble and squeak and our friend had the classic eggs benedict. We walked to the place and then walked back. I'm glad there was more walking involved this weekend rather than driving, it really makes me feel good when I can walk to places instead of getting a ride there or taking transit. It's pretty much my exercise, haha. The boif went to go play disc golf with our friend and I just relaxed and rolled around at home for a bit. Had fried rice for dinner with some kimchi and also ate some cake and icecream. Went for a walk to downtown for a bit, then went back home to watch the fireworks from our window. It was a nice view and the fireworks last for a long time for Canada Day.
Today I woke up feeling pretty shitty again. Took the morning off to sleep and stay hydrated, checked in again in the afternoon but during lunch I still wasn't feeling great. I decided to talk to a health concierge RN about my symptoms and it looks like I might have an infection of some sort (ahhh!) but the RN advised I should go see a doctor to get some bloodwork done if the symptoms still persist. I'm feeling much better after resting pretty much the entire day, now I just have my usual menstrual cramps so I'm ok. I have tomorrow off as a vacation day to do whatever, but if I need to go to the doctor I will.
Ate dinner at my parents house and bought a bunch of food/juice to help my cramps for the next few days. My leg muscles aren't feeling tightened up anymore, so that's good.

Summer body
Had a pretty lazy week to recharge from my business trip!
Weekend was pretty low key this week, on Friday it rained pretty hard. Ate some sushi at Samurai Sushi and then chilled at home. I started watching a bunch of stuff on Netflix, based on recommendations from my coworkers. Saturday we had a slow day as well but went to a friend's house for some food and played Codenames. Also met another couple too. It was fun to socialize with new people but I got pretty tired at 11pm haha so we went home and chillaxed and went to bed. Today we're going to do some filming. We went to Starbucks earlier so that I could get some more stars for the star dash, and because we haven't had our caffeine fix yet. We then went to film and meant to go to a mall in the SW, but ended up at the signal hill Superstore to buy some groceries. Headed to Airiang market as well, to stock up on some tea, squid snacks and instant noodles. We decided not to get our regular assortment of fire noodles, and got some potato noodles and another random one. Excited to try them out!
We then had dinner at home that consisted of nachos & salsa, rice & leftover sweet & sour chicken, and some fries with bbq sauce. Mmm, mmm!
Went to check on our garden as well and give it a bit of water, we're starting to see some sprouting!

What a week!
Most of my week was spent at a conference for work in Vancouver. It was really insightful and a lot of fun to chill with my colleagues. :)
Tuesday - Went to Vancouver and checked out Konbiniya for some onigiri and snacks. Then went to the winking judge to chat for a bit and headed to work after. After work we went to EXP for some video-game inspired food! Walked back to our hotel and I couldn't sleep well after that, there were so many noises from the AC, the fridge, and the outside. I realized that I might have had too many pillows on my bed, so was pretty determined to fix that after.
Wednesday - Woke up early in the morning to go to the gym. I did a bit of a workout for 15 minutes (lol), because I really wanted to go on a treadmill to do a run but they didn't have one. :( I thought about doing a run outside, but it was raining... so I ran up a few stairs and went back to my room. Went to work, then after work I went to go meet up with my friend in Metrotown. We got udon and sushi at Sekai and went shopping in uniqlo, deciem and looked around sugarfina and got some candy samples. :) It was fun chilling with my friend for a bit as we caught up from the last time we saw each other. Afterwards, I went to Shenanigans to go hang out with some colleagues and sing karaoke. Not too much my thing as it was in an open space instead of a private room, but I persevered and it was still fun!
Thursday - Had a good hotel breakfast, went to work, then went to Konbiniya again and also checked out Miniso (I wanted to see if they had my humidifier there, but they didn't), totally forgot to check out Muji as I was going to get souvenirs there, then went to Lauduree as my coworker wanted to grab some macarons. They were pretty!! Afterwards, went to a work function and danced the night away. Lots of good food at Parq Vancouver. Went home after midnight and then went to bed.
Friday - Went back home and got Subway for lunch, then took a nap for a few hours and went to Annex Ales to chill out. I was pretty exhausted after work so we just relaxed afterwards in typical Friday fashion.
Saturday - Went to see Incredibles 2. It was really good! Can't believe it's been 14 years since the last one. Also went to try the La Verde burger and then went to Wow Bakery for some baked goods. Got a matcha white chocolate croissant which was freaking delicious, and a peanut butter cream bun. Also went to Chinook mall for a bit, as the boif wanted to shop for jacket. I was pretty tired though, so sat around a lot and window shopped a lot as I bought a few things in vancity already and didn't really want to spend more. We had lunch from Hula Poke and then went home to relax. Ate our baked goods, and then I took another nap again.
Today we didn't really go out. Got up, ate breakfast, showered, made poke for lunch, then ate snacks, and I napped again... walked to Luke's to try to find bagged soap, but they didn't have any. Did some gardening and ordered pizza and wings. Watched Food Wars and Westworld, also did the laundry and dishes. I also meal prepped too and made a card. Yay! Talk about super productive day even tough we didn't do much outside.
Going to go back to the gym again soon. Feeling gross. Not feeling so exhausted anymore :)
Meditation Helps
I have been meditating for the last few days, plus I started going to the gym again. I'm sore, but my body and mind feel wonderful. I also got a new pillow that allows me to sleep better than before, no more feeling stiff!
Friday - We went to have dinner at the famjam's, played with Tofu for a bit, went grocery shopping and watched Thor 2. Also went to Espresso Cafe and I got an iced coffee and we both got pistachio cream puffs. They were delicious!!! I also got a new micro-gel pillow that was advertised as good for 'side sleepers', and I put myself in that category. So far it's been a pretty good pillow for me. My back didn't feel weird at all this night and it's probably one of the best sleeps I've had in a while! I always thought it was the mattress that made me feel stiff, but who knew that a pillow could do that?
Saturday - I was going to meet a co-worker today at the farmer's market, but we had to reschedule. Watched Thor Ragnarok and had our morning coffee. Also went to Miniso to get a power bank and another lip tint (got a peach one this time! smells like cantaloupe lol), some snacks and went to South ST burger for lunch. I got a veggie patty and it was good :) We also went to City Market and McDonald's for some ice coffee. Went home and finished off the Thor movie, also had fried rice for dinner and did a lot of chilling around for the night.
Sunday - It started raining today and I wasn't feeling chipper because of it. The weather really affects my mood. Was going to meet a friend but we decided to reschedule to next week. Made quesadillas for lunch and watched some of Westworld S2. Got icecream at Made by Marcus and then had fried rice for dinner :)

Eventful week!
This week was quite eventful, I think!
Tuesday - I had my Invisalign consultation. It turns out the cost will be over five grand, so I'm not too sure if I want to go ahead with it right away. It was nice to get some more information on the entire process, though! I also went for a walk downtown and grabbed some new brown eyeliner and black eyeliner from Sephora. Also went to Simons and bought a new shirt and some skirts that were on sale. Bumped into a friend there as well and we hung out for a few minutes! Also went to my family's for dinner.
Wednesday - It was my day off so I went back downtown to get my walk and went to Simons again to get a jean jacket and a pink sports tank top. I think I'm pretty good for shopping/retail therapy now...
I spent the rest of the day just chilling out and taking it easy after.
Friday - We went to go check out the night market for a bit, got some kimchi poutine and fried chicken! Not a lot of booths were there this year... we also went to hang out with some friends at Cannibale.
Saturday - Didn't do too much. Went to the famjam's for dinner and played with Tofu for a bit. Had a pretty lazy day watching Westworld S2 last night. Went to bed pretty late too but also took some naps before that. Also had an eye appointment for a new contact lens fitting. New contacts were comfortable, but then my eyes were stinging after a few hours.
Today - Did quite a lot today as I had the day off. First, we went to Cafe 16 with some friends, got some Torikatsu curry and it came with soup and salad as sides for lunch! Then we headed over to CoCo Fresh Juice & Tea and I got a sago taro milk tea with 30% sugar. It was pretty good! It was nice to catch up with our friends that we haven't seen for a while. Then we went to True World Foods and just bought a bunch of Japanese snacks and drinks. Was able to find a few things there that we wouldn't normally find in other marts here! We then went back home and took a walk, took some photos for my blog and IG, and then proceeded to clean up our garden plots. Now to figure out what we will actually grow... hmmm....
Just finished dinner. I am feeling pretty achy today, Bleehhh! I feel like taking it easy for the rest of the night, but I should probably be productive... hmm.

Enuff.
I really need to go to the gym more often and stop feeling like crap so often. Been eating healthier-ish, though :)
Thursday - I started watching the Mob Psycho 100 live action and binged it through the day. Also went to LDV with a couple of friends for lunch. We shared a margherita pizza and a san frenscesco pizza. It was good but I'm not sure if that would be my go-to, flat crust ain't my jam haha.
Also went to check out the Golden Bell restaurant and got some pho. It was really good! Only one size available, but the meat pieces were bigger than I've seen at other places. I would definitely try it out again when I'm craving pho.
I also went for a walk and discovered that the convenience store had soft serve...
Friday - I binged watched more Mob Psycho and finished the series. Also took a walk and tried that soft serve with some froster slush... it was really good with the mango orange slush that I had, but without it, it tasted like nothing... wouldn't get it on it's own again, but if I was craving ice cream and couldn't find it anywhere else, I would get it again but with some flavour sauce.
I didn't feel like going out much that day so I just had a chill evening at home. Also finished up my edit and uploaded the video :) Went to my famjam's for dinner. More noodles!
Saturday - After work we went for ramen at Tekkotsu Ya. Top notch stuff. Ordered thick noodles for my bowl, and thin noodles for the boif, but the kitchen mixed it up so the wait staff provided us with a side of the noodles we wanted. It was awesome, like eating two bowls of ramen! Our ramens were the Jigoku ramen (spicy) and the Black Garlic ramen, mine was a shio broth and the bf's was a shoyu broth. Pretty good. I would definitely go back again!
Noodles three days in a row... haha.
Sunday - I didn't do much after work, just walked around for a bit and then chilled at home. We had sausages for dinner with kimchi and wakame salad.
Today I wasn't feeling great again. My tummy hurt, my head hurt and my throat was going nuts yesterday and today. Slept pretty much the entire day except for lunch time. Feeling better now but my throat is still pretty phlegmy... also went for a walk to go grab some vine leaves, baba ganouj and baklava. Had sausage pasta for dinner, it was really good :)
I'm going to do some editing tonight and just chill. I have an Invisilign consultation tomorrow which I should probably read up more about. Also gotta check how to expense my dental fees... hmm.
I was hoping to clean today as well but I am really not up for it. Will clean tomorrow!

Hummmmbaaahhhh
This week was pretty eventful.
Had my first dose of days off on weekdays. On Wednesday night we got pizza for dinner with butter chicken sauce. It tasted really nutmeg-like... and sweet. It was very interesting to try.
Thursday - I chilled with my co-worker at Naina's Kitchen and we had poutine and stuffed burgers. It was nice getting to know each other and to talk about work. Turns out we have similar interests in anime and other nerdy stuff too! We were hoping to go on a patio that day, but it was pouring and it was cold outside. Still had a great time though!
Friday - Went to Shelter and Teahouse for some snacks and to chill with friends. Super late night so I was pretty exhausted the next day. I also went to meet a friend downtown for some lunch and tried Hula Poke. It was good! Not sure if I'd get the same bowl as it was super tart, but I definitely want to try their other flavours sometime. Also got some Japanese snacks from my friend and bought some Gudetama stuff (a mug and a plushie) from Hallmark. Who knew they would have this stuff? I think I might have been the only person to buy from that shelf...
Saturday - Went to watch DP2. It was really good! Also got some food from Insadong. It's been a while since we had Korean food. For lunch we had leftovers.
Today - Wasn't feeling too great today. In the evening I felt much better and did a bit of a walk to the grocery store, bought some bug spray and some canned food. We had tomato rice with kimchi and bell peppers for sides for lunch. Went to Espresso Cafe to check it out. It's a big place with so many pastries and sandwiches. Had a turmeric latte and also tried the dirty chai latte. Soooo good. I want to try their breakfast and sandwiches next time. Also watched the cats at Regal Cat Cafe. I can only watch through the glass because I'm really allergic to cats. This one white and grey cat really caught my eye. It was adorable and curious! It kept trying to see what was going on behind the closed doors. For dinner we had curry vegetables with vermicelli noodles. It was really good!
Oh I also filmed a video the other day and I've been working on getting the edit done so I can post it. I actually haven't been working on my blog at all... nor my portfolio. I really should get on it but I'm not so motivated. I'm more into social media as I understand that more and I find it takes less time to work on, but maybe I'm looking at it in an odd way.
I've been pretty mellow lately... but making the video and editing it really perked it up. I think once I get back into the groove of blogging again then I'll perk up more too. I just really need to find my motivation. I'm too comfortable sometimes so that might be why I'm not so motivated!

Busy weekend and new routine
It's Sunday and I had to work today!
It was super tough adjusting to a new routine this weekend. It felt really weird waking up this morning knowing that I had to go to work, I'm so glad I work remotely but it will take time to get used to this routine not having my weekends off.
On Friday we went to go see the Avengers movie. I'm glad we watched it. It's been really tough to hide all the memes on FB away! We also went to Madison's 1212 for dinner. Got the poke nachos and the wild mushroom and truffle nachos with goat cheese. It was so freaking good. We want to try their weekend brunch sometime as well as their dessert nachos! I really like how they make their own nachos that don't take the flavour away from the other ingredients. :) Really good place to share plates with some friends, I think!
On Saturday we went to Miniso!! Omg it was soooo busy and packed. I managed to get over $80 worth of stuff such as an eyelash curler, makeup cotton pads (normal and charcoal ones), eyebrow scissors (going to use these to cut my false lashes), washi tape, high chews, honey butter and pizza chips, green tea pocky, undergarments, a lip tint that changed with your lip's PH in a matcha flavour, some acrylic organizers, a Pink Panther baseball cap and a sunhat with a bow, some brush pens and some other accessories! I think I'll go back to get some lumbar pillows, makeup organizers and possibly a humidifier as well. They even sold toaster ovens there! We spent about two hours in Miniso and went to Popeyes after for some chicken tenders. I think I've had my fair share of Popeyes now and am not craving it anymore. Afterwards, we went home and took a walk, then went to celebrate my parents' birthday dinner with the family. Also ate hot pot!
Today I had to work so I worked and then afterwards we got some shwarmas from Shwarma Ave. We usually get them from a different place, but this place was nearby and had good ratings online so we decided to give it a try. It was really good! I got a falafel wrap and also tried the chicken wrap.
Watched some Ainori on Netflix and then took a mini nap after. I then worked on a card and now I'm just going to chill for a bit before bed.
Definitely got back on the healthy track this week. I think we had poke twice this week. Need to go get some more veggies though!
I also tried working from the dining table for half the day. I found that this was pretty nice as it was a change from my regular environment. I'm going to try this again, it definitely feels more relaxed and chill :)

Motivation, Inspiration
Adjusting to a new routine over and over can be quite exhausting and once I got comfortable with it, I stopped doing a lot of things.
This is how I am and how I have been for the last few years. I ramp up passion for the thing I'm focusing on at the moment, use that passion to achieve my goal and then I just slide back down because I'm comfortable. Then I have these periods of lowness.
I am aware that it's happening. So a few weeks ago I started vlogging again, I edited a vlog, and put it up, and made more vlogs, but haven't edited those... I really should. I've also been going on more walks outside lately, but I haven't gone to the gym in a while. Also having unbalanced meals and not being a healthy eater as usual. It's Spring though, so it does call for more eating out with friends and so forth, but with that kind of diet, I really should bring in more healthy food too and go to the gym.
I think once I get back to that routine again, I'll also get out of this weird hole where I am lacking inspiration and motivation to do things.
I really want to achieve a bunch of things, but right now I'm stuck in a lul. Today I found out that there will be a Miniso opening up in my city and I am THRILLED! I immediately looked up photos on Instagram for the types of products that they have, and I hate saying this but it's true, as soon as I saw some of the items I felt inspired again and motivated to type up this post too. They have some really nice stationary and I feel that if I go there I would get some inspiration for my bujo and also want to do more creative things. I also got some ideas for haul and review videos. After doing a quick search online, I found out that there weren't a lot of reviews on the Canadian stores/products so I think I could grab some items and try them out and provide a blog or review on them. Yay, content ideas!
I might also try a change of working environment. I think I'll try working at my dining table for a little bit. Not sure if I could work on the couch, I can't use the trackpad quite as well as an external mouse, haha. I don't know how people do it!
I also need to read more books... I'm trying but technology wins me over everytime. Luckily I get my books from the library and the period of borrowing is 2 weeks maximum, so I have that timeline to keep me reading.
And yeah trying to wake up earlier isn't really working for me right now... but I'm noticing that the sun wakes me up pretty early now, so I just need to force myself to get out of bed at those times!
So with all of this, I gotta start things slow and work my way up.
I'll continue to bujo as I have been, eat healthier/more veggies, go to the gym, read more books, go for more walks, colour, make cards. All the creative stuff that focuses on my well-being. Then I'll focus on making more content, keeping up with socials (this is the toughest part for me as before I've just been taking an unnatural approach and commenting on whatever. I'll start commenting in a natural way and things that I am truly passionate about), and keeping a schedule/routine.

Super chill.
It's Saturday night right now and we did quite a bit yesterday and today!
Sunday: Today we went for dim sum with some friends to catch up. It was pretty good and it was sooo nice and hot outside after we went outside of the restaurant. Went to the mall to grab a gift and a Mother's Day card, and then went back home to watch Ainori. I went to Starbucks with a friend for a bit to catch up and chat, and then went back home and made poke for dinner. Watched more Ainori until the power went out... that was weird! The power came back on after a few minutes but it looks like the other building doesn't have their power back yet. There are some trucks outside right now which look like they are here to fix the power.
We're just watching some Twitch stuff from our friend. I'm going to go pick out my work outfit for tomorrow soon and have a chill evening before going to bed. This weekend was pretty relaxing with lots of socializing!
Yesterday we went to have dinner with the famjam and also took Tofu for a walk! It was nice to see him go on a walk while it's really nice outside. :) We also went out on the patio to relax for a bit and just chilled as per usual on our Fridays.
Saturday: Today we went to OEB for brunch with a bunch of friends and also went to a Cinco De Mayo party that was hosted by the boif's co-worker. It was fun hanging out with people that I haven't seen in a while. Had some good bean dip too and some candy. I also got an eye exam to get my glasses prescription updated. Hoorah, my prescription went down!
When I got home I immediately went online to go buy some glasses. Took me a few hours to choose which one I wanted. I used the virtual try-on component on the website to see what the glasses would look like on me, and I went with my initial choice. I wonder how long it'll take for the glasses to get here. I'm pretty excited to wear them! They're more fashion-friendly I think than my current pair of glasses. I'm really loving the round-ish thin frame look right now.
Just chilling out to some tunes now. I think I'm going to go remove my makeup now and do a mini-spa for the night.

Expo weekend
I totally forgot to blog about this weekend and it's already Thursday!
Thursday - Friends came over and we ordered some food from Redheads Cafe and watched our friend's streams of Japan. I also got my overtone conditioner in extreme purple and dyed my hair with it again, the colour is back now! My hair is purple again.
Friday - Day off, volunteered at the expo. Volunteered at the parade. Was fun and exhausting. Had subway for lunch and dinner.
Saturday - Also volunteered, covered a bunch of panels, bought a shirt from nomsdesigns and a porg pop and a gift for a friend. Was pretty exhausted. Hung out with friends for bbt.
Sunday - Helped the bf's parents with their move and had dinner together.
Monday - Took the day off to recoup and catch up on some stuff! Edited. Also vlogged.
The weather was super nice during the weekend and it rained quite a bit as well. We're seeing really nice temperatures this Spring so far. Today it was about 20 degrees!

IT'S FINALLY SPRING!
This week was pretty surreal. I had my freelance meeting on Thursday night and my client smoked. n the past, being near smoke/people who smoke had bothered me... but then as an adult it didn't as much. So I thought I would've been okay. It didn't bug me at that moment. But then I woke up on Friday feeling gross and had a sore throat. I really couldn't talk without straining my throat. T_T
So I took a sick day and slept it off. I felt much better in the evening and yesterday, but now it's starting to come back. Gotta take care of my throat more!
Friday - We had dinner with the fam jam, played with Tofu for a bit, and watched a new series on Netfix called Love Bus (Ainori). It's about people looking for romance while traveling and they all travel together in one country on a pink bus! Also got some burnt honey cardamom icecream to share. It tasted more like orange rinds... really weird! We also got some avocados from Blush Lane and I also bought some Lavender aromatherapy mist. Yay :)
Saturday - My weekend really felt like a long one starting today. More sunlight meant more time to enjoy the outdoors :) I made some miso soup for breakfast, then walked downtown and to the mall to pick up some facial cotton pads as I was running out, some lotion and a foundation brush. I popped by Sephora for a bit to see if there were any Bite Beauty multisticks I wanted to get, but there wasn't, so I didn't get anything. I got some dust cloths from Simons and then went to the Korean food mart to get some seaweed salad. I also got some ume flower tea, houjicha bottled tea (I was super thirsty at that time!), and some black thunder gold chocolate bars for the boif. I was out for a few hours and came home pretty energized! I hadn't been on a stroll like that for a while, and having great weather really helped. :) Oh I also got a nice floral top from H&M as well! My floral collection is growing!
I winded the night down with some video editing for a vlog I made that day and had some of the tea. It wasn't pink like the photo, but it was not bad. I don't think I would get it again, but it'll last a while.
I also cleaned the house too with my new dusting cloths and vacuumed a bit too. Yay, clean! Also made pasta for dinner.
Today - I went out on another stroll since last night I was using my sample of the Olehenriksen gel cleanser and saw that I was running out. I thought I'd stock up at Sephora today since the sale was going on, so I did. I also got another coconut lip butter from RMSF and big bottle of shampoo there to refill my bottle. I also got poutine from The Guild for poutine week. It was good! No squeaky cheese, but I liked it. :) After this weekend of shopping, I can say I'm going to go on a retail hermit now. I've stocked up on what I needed to. Going to save now for just food and bills. I'm pretty sure I spent over $100 this weekend, which isn't too bad... but still, that's more than I would usually spend. T_T
I walked home and I was so exhausted and sweaty. I vlogged and ate my poutine, watched a few YouTube videos and took a nap. It's now after 6, and I'm wondering what I should do for dinner. I could go eat out... or I could make soup. I'm going to go take the recycling and garbage out and think about it. Think I might go for another stroll lol... hmm.

Spring please
This week was my first week out of training! I had a rough day during the week but quickly picked myself back up after and learned so much.
It's definitely a challenge to work remotely. It's easy to feel like you don't have any support as you're not working with colleagues physically. I'm enjoying working remotely but this is something I am understanding as I work more. I'm really grateful that we have ways of communicating though even though we are remote, and it doesn't rely on emails, so it's almost like having everyone there at your fingertips :)
Anyway, this weekend was a quieter one and I went out for a bit longer.
Friday - Had dinner and went to go return my headset. I did so much research over the week and found out that the mic quality of the headset isn't the greatest... and I ended up buying a pink headset :D
Saturday - Went to OEB for brunch, had the upstream benny with the bae, and it was so nice outside so we walked to the mall. I went to Simons for a bit and to the bank. It was a really nice day. Looked at glasses and clothes for the rest of the day and had instant ramen and steamed veggies for dinner. Also cleaned the house and did a bit of ingredient prep for lunches this week. I also asked for a refund for an item of clothing that I didn't receive from an order I had placed. I was really looking forward to the item, but it also looks like it's no longer in stock, so I went with the option to get a refund.
Today I was going to have a freelance meeting, but we're going to reschedule later in the week. I also thought about some things I'd like to stock up on... but I can just do that when I run out of those items. I'm trying to be a little bit more minimalist. My closet is growing though... I'm starting to want lots of florals and pastel clothing. I could do another closet purge but I keep thinking that I may want to wear these again for another occasion. I guess the influx of my desire to want more various types is because everyday is casual Friday for me... lol.
Anyway, the items I am looking to stock up on are: shampoo, cotton pads, and coffee. We just drank our last bit of McD's coffee today so I thought I would go out for a stroll to grab some Fratello coffee after writing this post. I also want to get some sandals for the spring, and maybe some lighter coloured sneakers.
I also need to re-organize our shoe area today too.
I worked on getting my portfolio site back... just need to wait a bit to see if my domain will be back too though. I'm going to download everything and then move to a free host. I just haven't had the time and energy to work on my portfolio site, so I think it's time that I take that expense out. I had to pay my invoice but there is a 30 day money-back guarantee, so hopefully I can try that. It also looks like my hosting provider has updated their servers... so I'll see how it is so far and make my decision based on that... most likely leaning towards free, though!
I'm a bit lazy to go to the mall to go look at shoes. I heard it was going to snow again tomorrow so... maybe I will wait until the nice weather sticks around :)
I need to work on waking up earlier on weekdays. It's so tough for me since my schedule has been all over the place for the last 3 months.... I found this week was toughest because I kept trying to rush through breakfast, when I really shouldn't be doing that.
Going to go grab the coffee beans now. And maybe some PB2 for our smoothies!

It's still snowing
It snowed again towards the end of the week. Ahhhh! I want to go outside and enjoy the outside/fresh air... but it's been so cold lately.
Weekend round up:
Friday - Had dinner with the famjam, and didn't do much. Watched some Bad Guys on Netflix and did some journaling again. Yay!
Saturday - A friend came over to hang out and I did some online 'window' shopping on some Sailor Moon handmade necklaces. I put them into my cart but I am still debating... We then went to our friend's birthday party dinner, and met some new people and had some nice convos and food :) Watched Tag on Netflix.
Sunday - Went to get a new gaming headset today. Then a colleague of mine showed me some pink ones, and I am curious to how they will be! Did some filming today and went to Noodle World for dinner. For the rest of the night I will do some journaling and just watch some YouTube videos.

To the side
This week was a bit of a challenge.
Haven't really slept early at all... so it was a bit of a struggle each morning to get up early but all good, I get up at a decent time to shower, get dressed and eat food. Definitely going to try to sleep earlier this week though because I like to wake up at least an hour before work to just... relax and start my day :)
Friday - I worked the stat since we are still mentoring and afterward we went to eat dinner at my family's and played with Tofu. Then we went to watch Ready Player One and got home pretty late. The movie was good :)
Saturday - A friend came over to discuss ideas and we all went out for some coffee at Sought x Found. Also tried a black sesame croissant there from Butter Block Co. It was good :) I would come back :) Coffee cost more than I would usually spend, so I think I'll try their drip coffee next time. Afterward, went for food at Migarock, explored a Russian and also a Korean mart and then watched Pacific Rim Uprising with another friend couple. Food was good and the movie was good :) Then had a chill night. Also cleaned the house :D
Sunday - Today we watched the last episode of Riverdale (I think it's the last ep of the season???), had breakfast and some leftovers for lunch. I went to the market and got some more tortilla chips and some cookies to fuel my week haha. I am currently eating homemade guac and some salsa with tortilla chips. Not sure what I want to do for dinner... I do have some leftovers but I kind of want to order in or pick up something... I dunno, I really like eating out during weekends/days offs now because I usually eat whatever is at home while I am working. I also want to save my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Doing some laundry right now.
I've also been thinking of ways to gain side income... hence the title of this post. Hmm...
Other things I need to do today are: wash the dishes, finish drying the laundry, watch some videos my colleague made, chillax... and probably clean my office again.
I haven't journaled in so long either ahhh....

Routine Change
This week flew by! I am now done my training and onto the mentoring stage of work. Eeep! Back to the early grind.
Had quite the productive weekend too!
Friday - Finished up my last day of training, then headed to our friend's place to celebrate their birthday. Had greek food, brought spanokopitas (which no one really had haha), and had apple pie cake with ice cream. Stayed util about 1am as the bf was recapping his trip to friends (we had to know what went on!). I was super tired. Tried to make it an earlier night but that didn't quite work out. (It never does lol when we go to our friend's place, we could talk for hours!)
Saturday - I went to Shinjuku for some ramen with some friends. It was my first time going there, so I got my default Spicy Miso Ramen. It was pretty decent, I quite liked the noodles even though they were the thin kind. They also give three pieces of meat, which is awesome! I also tried one of their melon soda drinks and also brought home some Okonomiyaki fries for the bf to try (and of course I had to have some too!). Went home after and cleaned the house. It felt really nice getting a head start on cleaning, as I usually clean on Sundays. We then went to celebrate my brother's birthday. Had mashed potatoes with roast beef and chicken, and also played with Tofu for a bit. Chilled with some youtube videos after getting home and read a bit as well. I just wanted to relax after since I was tired.
Sunday - Went to Dreamery BBT (used to be OCup) with some friends. Met our friend's new gf which as cool, we have all been waiting to meet her. :) And caught up like we usually do. Had taiwanese fried chicken and black sugar grass jelly red bean bbt (it was supposed to be pudding but they had already ran out). The chicken was big and really good! Went to the mall for a bit afterwards to shop (I also went prior to bbt and got some new shades as my old ones got scratched up since I had lost the case...). It was nice to catch up with everyone!
I also cleaned my desk after coming home, and went to Luke's again and got some sunscreen as it's starting to get sunnier outside and I am trying to go outside more often while working remotely. I also got a points card... I go there a lot more often now for skincare and bath products, so I might as well get one! (Oh I also get a lot of gelato from there too...)
I also got my new snow boots in the other day!
My routine is about to change again. Wake up earlier, and sleep earlier.
Will also go to Costco tomorrow to run some errands.

It snowed again!
Total opposite of last week's post, it snowed again. Gahhh.
And here's what I did this week:
Monday - Worked, dinner with the family, played with Tofu, did some video editing
Tuesday - Worked, had fried chicken for lunch, had fried rice for lunch, looked at cases (I think?), did some VA work, watched some YouTube videos
Wednesday - Worked, had fried rice for lunch, and I was supposed to have friends over, but we had to reschedule, so I ordered Poke for dinner through Door Dash, and it was awesome. It got here sooo fast and met my cravings. I think I got waaaay too much sauce though... and the rice was a tiny bit undercooked. I also made bean dip for the first time, it was amazing!
Thursday - Worked, took out the trash, had fried rice for lunch, went to my famjam's for dinner, played with Tofu, and also got grocceries (nacho chips for my bean dip, oreos, raspberries, spinach and wraps), I also went to the gym. I signed up for a beta health fitness program thing at work, that gives me stuff to do each day for 21 days and I gain points for each task done. I'm currently doing the physical one, which is pretty easy to do each day (30 lunges, stretching, exercise, etc.).
Friday - Made a smoothie with my raspberries and that was a terrible idea because I got a stomach ache while working (the raspberries weren't fresh at all, lacked taste, and some of them were starting to mold already), worked, ate hotpot with the famjam, played with Tofu (he was really sleepy so didn't play with him too much), watched YouTube and went on Steam for a bit to add co-workers. I also bought new winter boots because my current ones are not waterproof at all... the bottoms soak up all the water from the puddles!
Saturday - I went for ramen at Meyatai with some friends and caught up. It was fun and the ramen was super spicy and yummy. Afterwards, I cleaned the pillow cases, made brownies, also went to Luke's and got gelato (cream cheese and carrot cake, aaamgg), witch hazel toner and body oil. I wanted to get bagels too but didn't have any cream cheese, and was too lazy to buy any. Maybe later this week I'll get some? I also did the dishes. I also ordered a bunch of cute clothes on Zaful.
Sunday - Today I was going to go out with two different friends, but we had to reschedule the first outing, so I went out for lunch instead with my friend who I was going to go for dinner with, we went to Insadong for some Korean cuisine and caught up. Haven't seen my friend in months, so it was nice to catch up and chill! After going home I wanted to go buy dishwashing soap as we're running low, but as I was walking, it felt too cold outside, so I turned back and went home. Changed into my PJs, and I also took like a two hour nap... woke up from a weird nightmare (I had a lucid dream!) and took off my makeup. Now I'm just eating fried chicken for dinner again (also fried rice) and having some tea and gelato. After more chilling, I'm going to tidy up closet again.
This will also be the last week I'm doing my late shift, as I start my regular shift time next week! So I should probably adjust my sleep schedule more... that nap I had today proved it!

It's nice outside!
As I'm writing this post, the sun is beaming through my windows, the snow is melting and there's a lot of water on the streets. It's a nice day outside and I actually feel ok and warm while wearing only a t-shirt inside!
Friday - I worked until the evening and tackled another week of training at the new job. Woohoo! I think this week was pretty hard core, but that means I have a lot to study up on for work and a lot to learn! We then went to Canmore and stayed over at the bf parents' place. Had some vegetarian sandwiches for dinner, so good!
Saturday - We headed back home and went to Memory Express for a bit to look at some netbooks/elevtronics for the bf. Also went to Best Buy and couldn't find anything good, so we got Papa John's after for dinner. Totally shouldn't have eaten our entire pizzas on our own, as we were quite full and felt gross after and couldn't really sleep. Also set the clocks an hour forward for the Spring. I HOPE THAT MEANS SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!!
Sunday - I did some VA work, and looked at some macbook cases online. Also went to dinner. It's so hard to find the perfect case. I want to find something more to my liking, and a case that is sturdy, but also don't want to spend too much on a case.
Today I did another round of case searching! I was able to pick out a few floral cases I liked, but then I looked at prices and some reviews... there's a bunch of mixed reviews... which makes me kinda uneasy about ordering a case especially given that the cost is quite pricey (like $70!). Hmm... I'm so indecisive.
It's not really necessary for me to get a case, I purely want one for aesthetics and to keep my macbook clean. I think I could use a keyboard cover though, it got so dusty despite my non-use of it as I use an external keyboard!

Getting back to routines!
Friday - It snowed so much and I finished my first week of training at my new job! Whoa, so much information and I felt really accomplished. :) We were going to go to Canmore for the weekend, but since it snowed we will be going next week once the snow is melted. We stayed inside for the most of the night, but got Subway for dinner (haven't had Subway in soooo long!) and watched The Ritual.
Saturday - We did a big grocery run and went to Ikea to pick up a small drawer thing for the office and also picked up some skubb boxes for our shelves and picked up a bunch of snacks. I tried to make this Chocolate Trunk Truffle Cake from a video I saw on Instagram, but failed lol... I put in the warm milk/liquid ingredients all at once, which turned the mixture into liquid/chocolate milk instead of thick moist goodness. It ended up being more like a tiramisu cake, which isn't so bad! But yeah, I wanna try it again next time... also with baker's chocolate instead of regular eating chocolate. We watched Altered Carbon and had Ikea food for dinner!
Sunday - Today we went to ATP to watch a play and it was really sad, but the acting was really great! Afterwards, we just went home and I did a super clean of the office and my bathroom, and the kitchen sink/dishes. Made sushi burritos for dunch and I also built my drawer for the office. Yay clean! I also finished my journal stuff and now I'm just chilling and watching some YouTube. Don't think we'll eat a full dinner as the sushi burritos were quite filling and we ate lunch sooo late.
I am now feeling what it's like to get back into a routine. I also need to get back on track on my videos and blog posts. I have put them off for too long. :( But I think that now I have a job I can focus on my other interests. It was also hard for me to adjust to my new lunch times as well.. instead of an hour, we get 30 minutes, which isn't so bad as long as I know what I want to eat for lunch! :)

It's been a while!
I was refueling during the weekend!
Friday - My last day working on my previous workplace. Talked a bit with the team and said my goodbyes and we'll keep in touch. Went to the famjam's for dinner and chilled at home.
Saturday - I go my hair did! I dyed some of my hair purple and got it cut shorter! And we just watched Altered Carbon. I also did a lot of desk cleaning and office cleanup!
Sunday - Went to Trolley 5 for brunch (we had a $15 coupon!) and then went to Shoppers Drug Mart for a shower cap (I need to stop washing my hair everyday instead of every other day). We then went to David's Tea to redeem our rewards tea and got Turmeric Glow. It's a really good tea and such a cool freebie of 50g! We also went to COBS bakery and bought some tasty brioche bread.
After the weekend I started my new job! So far it has been great, there's a lot of information to learn that I'll have time to understand more as I go through the job, but so far I am really liking it!
It's been a bit weird to adjust to a new schedule though. I'm not used to working so late into dinner/the evening. But I used to work like this back in university, so it's not so bad. Especially when I have literally no commute, it's super nice!
While cleaning my desk and prepping my office, I started looking at photos on Pinterest because I found it kind of complicated to organize my desk (I now have a monitor on it too) and so I ended up removing my big letter mail rack that I used to store very random items/showcase my plushies underneath my desk. That added more space, but then I filled it up with some figures and now there's sme space left to put food/drinks/other items... but not a lot! So I realized I probably need to find some more table space somehow or storage/display space... and I thought of colour schemes. I wanted purple/lavendar tones originally but those are so hard to come by... so perhaps I might go for pink/blush tones... or maybe I could keep it simple? But I want to make it feel more like home! Hmm...

Recharging
Another week has gone by super quickly!!
The beginning of the week I spent it working on my virtual work and at my old work place. I was pretty burnt out from the last weekend, and so I worked through the week doing my old work place stuff, but barely had the energy to work on my virtual work. As a result I had to make up for the work I couldn't do by working on the weekend, which is all good, I didn't have much to do this weekend haha.
During the make up, I realized there are some tasks that I'd prefer not to do, and would rather give them to someone else who loves doing this work, or who is interested in getting experience with this. I've learned that although you can't always be picky on the work you want to do, sometimes you have to weigh the pros and cons of the work and make a decision based on that. I turned down a potential client work because I had taken on another client, and now I kind of wish I took the other one because it's more in line with my experience and what I want to do. I've definitely learned from this experience and I think the company is looking into getting a replacement person to help me out.
Thursday - I went to my family's for dinner and to celebrate LNY a bit earlier. Also went groccery shopping.
Friday - I worked at my old work place and did some virtual work and just chillaxed.
Saturday - Had a girls day out: went shopping and bought some makeup (eyeliner, foundation that was only $7, some bath balls, new sweat pants and a plaid shirt along with some soap bars to stock up!) and also bought some pastries from this Korean bakery called Wow Bakery. It definitely was WOW, and reminded me of the bakeries in Japan. I took a bit of this veggie pastry I bought and omfg it was DELICIOUS. It costs a bit more than other pastries (compared to Chinatown) but wow it was so good, I want another one. 'Twas a pretty fun day! I hadn't treated myself to a shopping day in a long time since I last had a stable job lol, but I didn't spend too much (just about $80 or so?) and we also had brunch at OEB. I won't spend for a bit as there's nothing I really need (since I'll be working remotely in my comfort clothing lol).
I then went home and worked most of the night on my virtual work to get things done. Debated about running a bath to try my new bath ball, but nah, watched YouTube instead.
Today I woke up in the late afternoon. I wanted to try not setting my alarm and seeing when my body would naturally wake up. I'm pretty sure I woke up a bit earlier than that, but drifted off to sleep again shortly after... and 12:30 wasn't too bad of a time to wake up naturally! I'll try it again tomorrow maybe and hopefully I'll wake up a little earlier to enjoy more of my day off.
I went to the gym, folded and put away most of the laundry, had breakfast and lunch and sent an email to my usual hair salon to see if they could colour my hair a certain way. I'm super excited to get my hair done purple! :)
I felt good going to the gym but couldn't handle too much... my arms are still pretty shaky, it shows how long it's been since I last went, and since I'll be working remotely, I need to go to the gym more and also get outside more.
So I'm going to input my spendings in a spreadsheet now and then go outside for a short walk around the neighborhood. I wa thinking of going to the Korean grocery store today, but it's already past 6pm... so maybe tomorrow?
