Earlier this week I got my no make no life box in the mail. It's full of cute and great smelling Sakura goodies. Unfortunately there's no makeup included, as the box is mostly full of skincare products, but that's okay with me! I am usually really picky with my makeup, and I've wanted to try Japanese skincare for a while. I filmed an unboxing video and I plan on editing that this week and uploading it, but first, I need to take some nice insert shots as it might be hard to see the products in my original footage.
I'm halfway through editing my makeup video though, slowly building up content!
On Friday we had a very chill day and played boardgames, as I had to sleep pretty early because on Saturday I went for a ski trip with my work.
It was my second time skiing and my body had forgotten how to stop on top of a downhill... oops... so I ran into the bunny hill gate and knocked it over, haha! I did a few runs on the bunny hill, and we took a break at the lodge, then I thought I was ready to try a green hill... so I went on the gondola with my co-workers and I didn't realize how tired I was, but I couldn't really control my speed/stop. I kept running into my VP who was trying to help me... then eventually I took off my skis, and she carried them down and I slid on my butt down the hill... It was too slippery to walk in ski boots!
We tried to put my skis on again but I just didn't have enough strength to clip the back in... so, I waited about half an hour for a courtesy ride in a tobaggan down the hill. It was pretty fun! It was very bumpy and I was riding backwards, but it was a cool experience. Next time I go skiing I will try the green runs/yellow runs first... and wih a lot of help, or I'll just stick with the bunny hills. It's still fun haha.
That lasted the whole day as we went for dinner in Banff right afterwards (we were skiing at Lake Louise). We went to a restaurant called Park Distillery, it had great food and great service! :) I am planning on going back again. It is a bit on the pricier side, but the portions were really good.
I passed out after I got home and napped for two hours. Then yesterday we went to Blaze Pizza for dinner. It's this fast food pizza place where you can customize your pizza with unlimited toppings for only $11.65! Sooo good. Then we watched The World's End and had some ice cream and matcha. We also finished our boardgame that we left off from Friday.
As my Saturday was a full day and my Sunday was so chill, the weekend felt very short. Only four more work days until the upcoming weekend, though!
I have lots of editing to do tomorrow as I passed out from waking up much earlier today. Naps feel so good!
