Short story: The Twitch layouts I was making weren't accepted by the client because they had no idea they needed to pay. (I was talking to a third party to arrange this.)
Long story: Their viewers then told them not to use my layouts after they showed one of the drafts to a viewer... and they were convinced to have someone else do the layouts for free. Of course, I was very flexible and said they didn't need to pay me if they didn't want to use them, but I was also willing to give to them for free so they could use them on their stream. I know the client really liked my designs from the feedback I was given, but ahh viewers have strong opinions. I sent a PM to the streamer to try to convince them to use them, as I was going to just give it to them for free... so we'll see.
What I got out of this? Good experience making Twitch graphics. More motivation to just keep on pumping forward with more graphic design and build my portolio.
I have to admit, I am disappointed that my designs aren't going to be used for the purpose they were intended for, but hey, I have a new portfolio piece! :)
Anyway, I'm just going to deal with clients directly. No more arrangements through third parties.
