So busy!

Hello! I've been away from blogging for a few weeks now and I wanted to explain why. I got another job. Yup... I am currently working full-time at a position I never thought I would actually do after finishing my post-secondary studies, and at a company that I never thought I would work for. I'm still working at my other job as well, at home and on the weekend. I am pretty much a workaholic now. I'm doing this to get experience in a new field I guess, that could relate to my film major in the future, and also I'm keeping my other job because it's within the media industry as well... so best of both worlds I suppose? I haven't actually done any work from home/the weekend yet, but when I do I have a feeling I'll adapt pretty easily? I go to bed by midnight each day and wake up at 6am ish each morning. It was tough for the first few days. The first day I was super exhausted since I didn't really prepare my internal clock beforehand, and on the third day I slept in until 8am O_O, which almost caused me to be late, but luckily I wasn't. I think.

I like my job so far, but since I am new, there is a lot of things that I don't know, and a lot of things I could be doing, but can't do because I don't know how. I end up repeating tasks and doing smaller tasks that can be done at any time... which worries me since I'm working unsupervised for three days until another supervisor comes to teach me some stuff after, so I'm not sure how I'll keep myself busy. Perhaps I'll bring a book I guess. But if that fails I'll just write up a manual for myself which is basically just my notes, but in a neater form XD.

The one thing that's difficult is the attire. So far from what I've observed, the attire is business casual (as I've been told), and tomorrow would be dress-down Friday, which would mean wearing jeans is ok. I haven't actually asked my Branch Manager if my department is ok with wearing jeans. But I'm sure it'll be ok if I try it and I'll bring an extra pair of dress pants just in case, though. But anyway, I digress. I was trying to get at how I have to spend a bit to get a new work wardrobe. At my other job the dress is just casual, so I can wear whatever I want. But here it's different, and I've been dressing very modest this week by wearing blazers nearly everyday... but I try to observe what the other females in my workplace are wearing. So far, they don't wear anything too eye-catching, so no bright colours... They wear cardigans, dress shirts, pencil skirts, and I guess mostly black tops. As for the males at my workplace, they actually wear the same thing everyday... they probably are wearing multiples of one thing, though. Or maybe they leave their clothes behind at work to wear the next days? o_o I dunno. But yeah, it's definitely much harder to dress for work for women, then it is for men. >_< I actually have been looking around both today and yesterday to find some nice cardigans that fit my price range. Everything I've seen so far is about $30+ or it's $20 but my size isn't available. My price range is ideally $10 - $20, but I find that to be difficult since a lot of cardigans are very thin and see-through, and the cheap ones tend to show wrinkles a lot. I might have to shop for the pricier stuff but I guess I'll just buy a few 2 or 3, and then build it up as I become more comfortable and familiar with the dress at work.

I'm going to finish dinner now and play games. WEEE.
