It's past my bedtime... I should be asleep now but I thought I would write a post about the weekend and things going on so far!
On Friday we spent time with family, got an xbox 360 and got Dance Central 1 & 2. Saturday I watched IT with my friend and went out for some ramen at Samurai Sushi. It was nice catching up with my friend :) Haven't seen her in a while! I also watched Horns that night with the bf. It was pretty weird and unexpected. I'm glad I didn't have nightmares that night after watching two horror movies.
On Sunday we had breakfast at Phil's and some gelato from Amato Gelato with a few friends. Then we watched the bf edit a video for them and afterwards bf and I played some Dance Central.
I typed a little bit of a blog post about CAMP on my blog. Will finish it tomorrow!
I started applying to opportunities. I'm curious about the startup and develope world and just put in an application for a role at a company that looks really cool. That's why I am up late...
I need to finish my tea now and then I'll head to bed. Oh, I took a nap today too... so that doesn't really help... need to get up a bit earlier tomorrow and look refreshed!

Whoa the weekend
I haven't updated my bujo in so long... I plan to get back on track with that this week. It's just been an overwhelming week... been pretty exhausted going back to work right after CAMP, so haven't really done too much. :(
This weekend was a pretty relaxing/busy weekend. Not too busy though!
On Friday we went to ATP and saw, "The Last Wife". Really great acting, although not sure if I liked the plot, there was also some adult themes. We also saw our friend for a bit!
Yesterday we filmed some stuff for our project, had dinner with my family, picked up a package and got an oil change. Running errands!
Today we filmed for most of the day and then went for some bubbletea and ramen with friends.
Low key but busy!
This week I plan to hit the gym, maybe purchase some books (or borrow e-books!) and work on my blog and relax for a bit. There's also a few postings I want to apply to, so I'll do that as well.

I feel so inspired!
I am so thankful for the opportunity that CAMP has given me. I won a badge in a contest and I have ALWAYS wanted to attend this conference for years, but the badge prices were a bit scary! When I found out that I was going to CAMP, I was so excited!
I looked through the schedule and didn't really know what to expect. The descriptions of the panels didn't really make sense as to how I could benefit from them... but then I saw some panels on remote working and finding your own inspiration, so I thought I would just go to those ones.
Did that happen? Not only did I go to those two, but I attended almost ALL the panels! Some panels overlapped eachother, so I couldn't go to all of them... and on my first day I was so pooped because there was SO. MUCH. KNOWLEDGE. coming at me!
I had to call it a day after 4pm on the first day... and then I attended the second day and wow... it was a true eyeopener. I learned about the hololens, lego, graphic design projects done by prestigious design companies and designers, etc. It was so awesome and I am looking forward to going again next year (early-bird prices!)
The panel that really resonated with me the most was the remote one. It was all about working remotely and how to transition your workforce that way. Also, the presenter is actually a developer. I took a look at their profile and looked at the courses they took and sigh, their marketing tactics are starting to work on me... maybe I should learn how to code too? I mean I know how to troubleshoot some basic stuff in HTML and CSS, but it'd probably be more beneficial for my career (and for a remote work career) if I knew how to code, design, market and be creative!!
I'd love to go to their school to learn, but it's all the way in Toronto! I'm going to see if we have anything similar here... if not, then Code Academy it is!
After attending CAMP, I realized that there's a whole bunch of possibilities out there. I love marketing, I love being creative, but I also freaking love being resourceful... and I think if I learn how to code, that'll just add to knowing more about the behind-the-scenes to help solve problems and prevent them! Now I just need to find ways to encompass this in my work... hmm. But first, I must practice what I want to do and find the right opportunity!
I felt really tired this week and my head felt stuffy... I'm wondering if I'm feeling overworked from coming into work after vacation... or rather my perfect productive time is actually around 9 - 10am in the morning. If I can find an opportunity that is flexible with this, then that would be gooooold!
This is what I need to practice:
Blogging
Graphic Design
Video
Code
Job I want:
Remote work
Creative
Marketing
Blogging
and FUN!

This week was much better!
I still had a busy week at work this week, but I adjusted my pace and was able to finish all my work without feeling as overwhelmed as last week. :) And now it's the weekend!
I actually have another long weekend because I'm attending a conference tomorrow and on Tuesday.
On Friday we went to Stage West with my colleague and had a yummy buffet and watched a great show. On Saturday I didn't feel so great... so I didn't do anything but try to nap and all I could feel was gross because I had eaten too much the night before. I did go out for some food from 7-11 after though when I felt better. I did do a mask in the afternoon and it smelt really chemical-like, so I wonder if that contributed to me feeling gross?
Today I was much more productive. I got up early and went for ramen at Jinya Ramen with some friends, had a chicken bun which was quite delicious! I've always heard about their Jinya buns but never got to try one until today. I bought one to take home for Dan and then we took Tofu out for a walk and to chill out while we watched Netflix. He took a few naps and ate some food and then we took him back home and had dinner as well. Afterwards, we went grocery shopping (again). Now we're at home just chillin', doing laundry and getting stuff done.
I could have done more yesterday but ahh feeling gross isn't so fun. :( I'm going to do some more chilling tonight and then I have to be up early tomorrow for my conference and get my badge.
Also need to edit too. Lots to do!

I am getting stressed out :(
YES, IT'S THE LONG WEEKEND!!!
It's actually kinda worrisome if I think about it... I pretty much look forward to my weekends a lot now. Like, a lot. It's really bad because that means I'm not enjoying my weekdays.
I first wanted to get out some stress by writing this post. I was pretty burnt out from work this week and I really want to take a staycation. This is so bad. Why? Because it means I am burning out, I'm not enjoying work anymore and I have to do something about it. It's also the worst time (kind of?) to do something about it because it's starting to get super busy for everyone.
I know I sound weird right now but I need to focus on myself. I need to find out what will make me happy. I really believe a flexible schedule and if I could work from home, that would make me so happy. It would also cut the stress of struggling in the mornings to get up and to get to the office. I am NOT a morning person. I am a mid-morning person!
I also hate meal prepping. And prepping for my work week (clothes to wear, etc.) and so I decided to do something different about it. Instead of doing all this stuff the night before, I tried to do it the morning before or a few days before, and it's working pretty well. Because I got these tasks out of the way earlier, now I feel like I have more time in the day to dedicate to other things and relax before I have to go back to work.
Anyway, that's my rant for now. Ranting only helps a little bit, it's now up to the actions I take to make things better.
Recap of this weekend:
Friday - I went for dim sum with a friend I haven't seen a while. We caught up and it was fun! Bought some egg tarts and a slice of coffee cake, pretty much treated myself after a stressful work week. Also applied for a job.
Saturday - We spent the afternoon at the Zoo, got some soft serve there, ate some healthy wraps and then went to get a slurpee and ginger ale from 7-Eleven. Friends came over and played board games at our place, I watched some anime and then went to delloR with my friend and had a nice walk. It was pretty smokey that evening though, not a great idea to walk in that, but I wanted to catch up and get some MORE icecream! Haha.
Sunday - We went out and got groceries, played games, watching some tv series, cooked dinner and worked on some side hustle stuff. Pretty chill day. I napped too, needed that nap so badly.
And today we did laundry, I did the dishes and we're about to clean the house again. Then we have to do some photography with some friends and then we will have dinner with family. I also did all of my work prep already, so that's out of the way now.
Other things I have to do today is edit. But I might just do half today and the rest tomorrow to give me a breather... but then if I finish it all today, then I can relax all evening tomorrow.
I also want to work on my blog today. I'll type up a little bit and see what else I can do today. I'm pretty exhausted. :( I haven't been keeping up with my bujo lately, but trying to get back into it.
The last week I think in the evenings I mostly spent researching... so I should take some time off this week and just focus on me.
