This weekend was full of relaxing activities.
On Friday we ate dinner with family and watched the Power Rangers movie. On Saturday we celebrated my brother's birthday and met up with some friends to go to the salsa congress. Yesterday we went out for lattes at Purple Perk and went to Yann Haute Patisserie to pick up macarons and had some amazing Japanese food at our friends' house. My stomach felt pretty awful after the steamer I had from Purple Perk. :( I might be lactose intolerant?
It was a pretty eventful weekend! And with that, Monday has already flown by. I had a busier day at work today, so that really helped. We made potato smiles, carrot slaw and mushy peas for dinner and now I am just editing.
I missed a package from Canada Post (my Simons order!) so we'll be picking that up later this evening.
I started editing my unboxing video! Should be done soon and ready to upload this week. I love editing videos for YouTube, it reminds me of the days where I was in school editing school projects. I have an idea in mind and I'm editing to that.
I'm also hoping to post another blog post as well... just not sure what about. It's tough getting new products and reviewing them. Maybe I could do a fashion post of some sort? Spring fashion en route!

Productive
This weekend was waaay more productive than the last one. On Friday evening we went to my parents' house to eat and then we took Tofu out for a walk in the park. I thought everything had dried up by then, but there was still mud, snow and ice at the park. Tofu's paws got sooo muddy, so we took him to the dog wash and tried to wash his paws, but then he got dirty again just walking back... so I spent about half an hour wiping his paws with paper towels, then we chilled with him for a bit and took him back home. The next day he got a haircut and took a bath, so good thing we took him out right before.
On Saturday we went out to One18 Empire and had brunch. It was really good and we had two $10 off coupons, so our total was just under twenty bucks for the two of us. :) Then we checked out Simons, got some placemats and I also got a nice sakura cami. The store is really cool, it has a nice range of prices and there's a lot of affordable items. I ended up placing an order online for more stuff because it was on sale/there was free shipping and some items I just couldn't find in the store. We also checked out a free art gallery (Contemporary Calgary) and we watched Beauty and the Beast in theatres. It was good! I also won $1 off frozen yogurt from Timeplay, so we used that to share a cup together.
Afterwards we just chilled out a bit and had chicken nuggets and salad for dinner. I then di some cleaning, laundry, etc., basically stuff I had put off for the whole week because I was so lazy after work.
Today we went and did some groccery shopping, had lattes at Higher Ground, did some more cleaning/chores and cooked some chicken breast for dinner with salad and Smile fries! We sprinkled ao nori on the fries and it tasted great, and also sprinkled some on the chicken to add flavour. Yum! We also went to Lukes to pick up some conditioner and just to enjoy the weather and walk outside. Went to the gym too, and I prepped my lunch and a snack for tomorrow.
Oh I also cleaned out my closet again. I have a big bag of clothes I want to donate. I just need to wash the clothes and then drop them off at the bin. I'm trying to update my warddrobe and just take out what I don't wear anymore and what I don't really like anymore. My style has really changed throughout the years. I do enjoy the sight of casual office wear, but at the same time I love casual stuff, I'm wearing sweatpants again and I like dresses, t-shirts and sweaters. The patterns I like are usually floral or just simple stuff or character-based.
I haven't done any colouring at all. I really should!! But adult colouring books actually kind of put me in deep thoughts, lol. I want something simple or really unique!

I skipped a post :O
I just realized I didn't blog at all last weekend. Can't quite remember what I did last weekend, which is why I blog on here to remember. Lol.
I think we watched Logan last weekend. It was a great movie! The little girl who is in the movie though, reminded us so much of Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things. And we thought it was her... and I told this to everyone that I talked to about the film. But then last night I discovered that she wasn't Millie, but Dafne Keen. That made so much sense why her voice was so different/sounded dubbed (Dafne Keen can speak fluent Spanish so it makes sense now!).
I remember playing the Sims last weekend, and then I'm not sure what else we did... I think we went groccery shopping? Not the most exciting weekend but it was a relaxing one.
This Friday we went to watch Derek Selinger's The Gift. I haven't watched a magic show in a while and it was pretty good! We then went on a Pan & Teller spree afterwards and watched more magic on tv. Then I played Sims again and we went out to Mango Mania for some drinks, despite it being -17 outside. It was ferociously cold...
Today we watched Tokyo Ghoul and then played Heroes of the Storm with a friend. After losing a few games and winning one game, we went out for some ramen at Jinya Ramen. It was pretty good! I would definitely come back for more, but I think the price was more pricey than other ramen places I usually go to. It's nice that they provide fresh garlic cloves to add for free, and they have the whole concept of kaedama as well. I want to try kaedama sometime but maybe that's too much food, haha...
For the rest of the night I will make it a relaxing one. Prep some lunch, maybe colour and just watch some stuff with tea. :) It will be another busy week!
