Busy busy

It was my birthday last Saturday. I celebrated with my bestest friendxboyfriend, and a few of my friends. On my birthday, I got a cupcake from Crave and a candle from my boyfriend. Him and my mother sang Happy Birthday to me, and then the two of us devoured the cupcake! After, we decided to go for some sushi (he wanted to surprise me), but when we got to the place, they were closed... so we got korean cuisine instead! We had hotpot chicken, with steamed potatoes, kimchi, some fried cucumber, rice, and bean sprouts. It even came with complimentary tea and lychee stuffed with pineapple dessert! How awesome is that? We also went to a flute and piano concert at our school. I had to go to write up a music report for class... we ended up leaving during intermission because we didn't want to pay anymore on the parking meter. Silly parking hours!

On Sunday I had a birthday party with a few of my friends, and family. Many of the people who were invited couldn't come due to prior plans or work... so I treasured my time with the people who did come. We had lots of birthday cake, and asian food that my mom made. It was really good! Then we played Singstar, HSM, and Buzz! on PS2. We also watched Get Smart.... not a great movie but I'm appreciative of it because my friend brought it over for me. =)

This is one of the gifts I got. Can you guess who gave this to me? <3

It has been a long and busy week. School is soooo time consuming! I will update more frequently sometime next week, after my midterms are finished for the month.

She's at it again, with a new blog!

Hey all,

A friend of mine inspired me to make a new blog... in Japanese. He's got his own blog up and running, and it looks pretty awesome so far! I decided to make one too because lately, my writing has loosened in strength for the past few weeks... (my in-class essay or 作文(sakubun) was a disaster!) so I guess to resolve this issue would be to practice more, or study more right? Why not make studying and practicing fun by blogging? So I went ahead and made one.

You can find my blog at: kumadezaato.blogspot.com

The name means Bear Pudding (or Dessert). Cute, huh? My boyfriend thought of it, and I was having trouble deciding on a name... as you can see on my Twitter updates, haha.

It won't be the most amazing well written Japanese blog out there, but it will be snippets from everyday life as I learn more and more new grammar and words each day. Hopefully this will help me improve my writing. I desperately need it to boost and save my grade!

I know I haven't blogged about anything else recently. I do apologize... just haven't really found anything blogworthy so far.

Perhaps I should make a layout for both blogspots soon!

Douche Acts #1

I know it's been a while since I last posted. Didn't have the motivation to write after I spent an all-nighter on writing my essay for my GNST class... it put me into stress and writing was not something I wanted to do to relieve it.

Anyway, I went to UC Idol yesterday. It was a fantastic event! There were so many talented individuals!! I got to enjoy some refreshments and a sub from subway as well... pretty sweet for a $7 ticket, that goes to a charity! The winner was Sean and he got $100, not sure what he did with it though.

I enjoyed the show and everything, the experience was great. However, I kind of feel bitter about something I did. Hence the "Douche Acts #1" title... let me explain. After I went back to the theatre after intermission, we had to get through a few people sitting in the row. This one individual had their backpack on the ground in front of them, and I was scared of tripping over it, so I went over it really carefully (I have horrible memories from this one time I fell down a few stairs after/during an exam.... and I bled.), and I had my bookbag over on my right shoulder towards the girl. Without realizing it, I knocked over her drink on her table. -_- My boyfriend realized this and said sorry for me, in which I conformed and said sorry back to her. He rushed out of the theatre, and did not tell me why. I assumed he was getting napkins for her to help clean up, so I rummaged through my bag for tissues, but to no avail. Then I glimpsed over at the girl... she had already used her food napkin to try to clean it up. Later, she grabbed some tissues from the bathroom to wipe the rest of the spill.

My boyfriend told me to apologize, but I told him I did when I knocked it over. I guess I pulled a really intense douche move... I should have helped her clean it up and express my sympathy for her. I mean, she just got her free drink spilled all over her table.... she probably felt really bad/mad at me, but she did not say anything. Before I realized how guilty I felt, I believed it was her fault in the first place, because she put her cup on the edge of her table, which is pretty easy for it to get hit. She could've just lifted up her cup while I moved or something. Bah, I should have been more apologetic though.

What do you guys think? Do you think what I did was stupid? Or that I was right in that she should've took care of her cup before an impact took place??

I'll be more apologetic next time I cause trouble like that. I mean, just 3 weeks ago, the same incident occured with two of my classmates during my tutorial class. One girl came in late, and she was trying to get to her seat, her bag knocked over my friend's Tim Horton's cup of coffee, and it spilled all over the floor. The girl helped my friend clean it up though. They spent about 5 minutes running back and forth from the washroom to clean up the coffee with napkins. I should have done that for yesterday's incident... :( Shall I also mention that, the coffee spill was also near me? The girl was trying to sit in my row for class.

I shop online a lot: Dariya Hair Sheets

Hi,

I shop online a lot. I might as well blog about what I receive in the mail after 2 - 4 weeks of waiting for something that convinced me to click the "Paypal" button on the internet.

I got these in the mail the other day. I have the blue and pink packages. They're hair sheets designed to hold your hair back/in place whenever you need to. I use mine to hold my bangs back when I apply makeup/moisturizer, or when I'm washing my face. They're fun to play with, too!

This is me testing it out yesterday. I look creative... yay for the asian pose!

Honestly, ever since I turned 18 and got a Paypal account, I have been spending periodically on goods online. Hm, at least I don't have a credit card.

Hi. New blog, same poster.

Hi all,

Welcome to my new blog: Life IS Candy

I don't think that will be the permanent slogan/title of this blog, so bare with it until I think of something more creative. :)

I used to blog on my Xanga, however Xanga decided to be slow one day and I lost my patience. Now I am a blogspot conformist. w00t.

Here I plan to write about everyday things, or whatever is on my mind.

So please stay tuned for future entries!
