I know it's been a while since I last posted. Didn't have the motivation to write after I spent an all-nighter on writing my essay for my GNST class... it put me into stress and writing was not something I wanted to do to relieve it.
Anyway, I went to
UC Idol yesterday. It was a fantastic event! There were so many talented individuals!! I got to enjoy some refreshments and a sub from subway as well... pretty sweet for a $7 ticket, that goes to a charity! The winner was Sean and he got $100, not sure what he did with it though.
I enjoyed the show and everything, the experience was great. However, I kind of feel bitter about something I did. Hence the "Douche Acts #1" title... let me explain. After I went back to the theatre after intermission, we had to get through a few people sitting in the row. This one individual had their backpack on the ground in front of them, and I was scared of tripping over it, so I went over it really carefully (I have horrible memories from this one time I fell down a few stairs after/during an exam.... and I bled.), and I had my bookbag over on my right shoulder towards the girl. Without realizing it, I knocked over her drink on her table. -_- My boyfriend realized this and said sorry for me, in which I conformed and said sorry back to her. He rushed out of the theatre, and did not tell me why. I assumed he was getting napkins for her to help clean up, so I rummaged through my bag for tissues, but to no avail. Then I glimpsed over at the girl... she had already used her food napkin to try to clean it up. Later, she grabbed some tissues from the bathroom to wipe the rest of the spill.
My boyfriend told me to apologize, but I told him I did when I knocked it over. I guess I pulled a really intense douche move... I should have helped her clean it up and express my sympathy for her. I mean, she just got her free drink spilled all over her table.... she probably felt really bad/mad at me, but she did not say anything. Before I realized how guilty I felt, I believed it was her fault in the first place, because she put her cup on the edge of her table, which is pretty easy for it to get hit. She could've just lifted up her cup while I moved or something. Bah, I should have been more apologetic though.
What do you guys think? Do you think what I did was stupid? Or that I was right in that she should've took care of her cup before an impact took place??
I'll be more apologetic next time I cause trouble like that. I mean, just 3 weeks ago, the same incident occured with two of my classmates during my tutorial class. One girl came in late, and she was trying to get to her seat, her bag knocked over my friend's Tim Horton's cup of coffee, and it spilled all over the floor. The girl helped my friend clean it up though. They spent about 5 minutes running back and forth from the washroom to clean up the coffee with napkins. I should have done that for yesterday's incident... :( Shall I also mention that, the coffee spill was also near me? The girl was trying to sit in my row for class.
